Great horses, professional crew - The crew were highly professional but also fun and engaging. The horses were carefully selected for people’s experience levels and I was very happy with the horse they selected for me. He was sensitive and fun to ride (I’m an experienced rider) and by no means a plod! I’m hoping to go back in the future and do a multi day ride with this group.

I learned so much and checked off a huge bucket list item. - I had ridden a few times as a kid and maybe twice as an adult and have always wanted to go above a boring "walk". This tour let us split into 2 groups and had a beginner group and a more experienced or "adventurous beginner" group. I went with this group while my boyfriend split off into the slow group. We got to go a little faster at a "telt?" Not sure Im spelling that right. It's apparently a gait that only Icelandic horses have. It was amazing. We followed trails through the largest lava field in Iceland and the guide told us about the unique horses, regulations, and landscape while I giggled like a kid bouncing around on the horse. I absolutely loved this ride and would do it again in a heartbeat. Be forewarned though, listen to how youre supposed to sit. I had a horribly sore neck the next day because I did not know what I was doing. Adventurous beginner was definitely the correct title for me, not experienced!

A great experience with beautiful horses. - So well organised. Great communication prior to the day. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Hot drinks available on arrival with nice sitting area to wait in. The horses were beautiful and well cared for. Excellent equipment available- warm suits, helmets, etc. Sarah was very knowledgeable and good at putting the rider with the horse. The group was split into new riders and more experienced riders. Loved the ride out with great views and so nice to 'trot' on an Icelandic Horse! The girls were great at helping you onto the horse, checking the saddles, stirrup lengths etc. Also at taking photos with your horse. I had a lovely time and so glad that I did it.

A fun, calm horseback ride - We absolutely loved this tour. It was a bit chilly with the wind but they provide you with additional clothing and boots if needed. The girls guiding our tour were so friendly and helpful with the horses and with taking pictures if you wanted. They offered a basic ride and a more advanced ride. We stuck with the basic and it was perfect for us. If you have no experience at all they will help and guide you along the way. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic trip!! - We had a fantastic trip this week, the trip was suitable for all levels of experience with option to stay with a slower pace or go with a faster group to experience more gaits. The centre was fantastic, we were well looked after from start to finish and it was great to see the horses were truly looked after too! Thank you, would highly recommended

Very cute and memorable experience with super friendly horses and people - Apart from the driver who picked us up from Reykjavik and seemed rather uninterested, it was a very lovely experience overall. The horses appear to be well cared for and only work there for six months of the year. The rest of the time they spend on large pastures in the south of Iceland. You’re provided with a helmet and, depending on the weather, an additional snowsuit. Still, I highly recommend wearing multiple layers and bringing thick gloves and a hat or balaclava to wear under the helmet on cold days. You’re matched with a suitable horse, and after a short introduction ride, the group is divided into a faster and a slower pace. However, you can decide yourself what you feel comfortable with. Along the way, photos of you can be taken if you please. The staff was very warm and friendly, and the experience was definitely worth it.

Best group ride! - This was the best horse ride I’ve been on. The guide was knowledgeable and very helpful for new riders and riders with experience . The horses were very well behaved, so friendly and obviously taken care of well. The stable was clean and the lounge was cozy. I would absolutely recommend this anyone interested in riding in Iceland. What an awesome memory!
