Upon arrival, the adventure begins with a game drive through the park. Spanning approximately 21,000 acres (8,889 hectares), Minneriya National Park is home to a variety of dry zone flora and fauna, with a significant population of elephants. Unlike other parks, visitors can observe elephants from a remarkably close distance. The park is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, boasting around 160 bird species, 9 amphibian species, 25 reptile species, 26 fish species, and over 78 butterfly species. Additionally, it features rare bamboo trees not found in other national parks.
After the game drive, guests will be transported back to their hotel.
