An incredible adventure - There are so many cruises you can choose to tour Ha Long Bay and we are very happy that we chose V’Spirit. The boat itself is more boutique and traditional than a floating hotel and it really calm and full of character and beautiful design. We had everything we needed. The food was good (although the amount was overwhelming at times!). The excursion on our second day was incredibly good for us - the cycling on Cat Ba island, kayaking through peaceful coves and jumping off the boat into the water were highlights. The hosts and tour guides were excellent - Hiep and Henry were particularly good at supporting the guests. Do not miss the early morning sunrise t’ai chi! The cruise was extremely well organised and we were looked after well from start to finish. The rooms and bathrooms are also beautiful. The only thing I could have wished for would be to extend the trip and just have a day relaxing on the boat!

Exceptional tour and service - We really thought it was top notch. We were met by the Tour Guide, Mr. Hiep at the Hanoi hotel he travelled with us to the boat, oversaw us boarding, gave us information and facilitated our activities. The continuity of tour guide from hotel to boat, to attending us on board was impressive and unexpected. I think that continuity of care of that one person throughout is exceptional. Our tour guide, Mr Hiep was very friendly, welcoming, professional, informative and inclusive. We found him sincere and he good at his job. I think he contributed very much to our enjoyment of the cruise. Ms Huyen from Customer service was there to great us at the port and travelled with us to the boat. She was very friendly, engaging, professional and also good at her job. My son fell sick on the first night with a cough, and she visited him and made him a ginger and honey tea. She let me know to contact her in the night if there are any problems. She checked in with us several times and on finding he was still unwell on the following day, made him another tea for his cough. She checked in with his wellbeing until we left the cruise. I really appreciated her professionalism, kindness, concern, care and follow up It was a comfort to know she was there and able to help when he was unwell in another Country to ours. Mr Hiep, was also involved and attended my son personally, and also advised to contact him in the night if he felt worse, and he could arrange transport to medical attention if required. We loved the inclusiveness of the cruise. The tour guide Heip did a quiz after dinner, and started the karaoke, and made sure every table joined in and participated. He oversaw the swimming and Ms Huyten oversaw the squid fishing. I very much enjoyed the tai chi both mornings from the top deck to see the sun rise at 6.30am. We enjoyed the day trip out, especially the bike ride on the island, the sea swimming (and jumping off the boat) and the kayaking through the arched caves. Likewise, the rowing boats through the cave arches with local people. The food on board was of a very good standard and quality. The staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. They oversaw our table and noticed that we didn't eat seafood and immediately rectified the situation and provided other options for us. The prebooking service prior to the cruise was also exceptional, helpful and in a timely manner. As we were flying out immediately after the cruise, V'Spirit organised a private transfer for us, taking directly from the port directly to the airport. We would highly recommend the cruise.

Perfection - We can't recommend the V Spirit Cruise to Lan Ha Bay enough. It was perfection. The staff are unbelievably kind and attentive. The atmosphere is very warm and personal on the boat. The rooms are lovely each with its own balcony and large bathroom. There is so much food provided and its delicious. Really enjoyed the Pho and omelette at breakfast. I recommend the 3 day 2 night cruise because you don't want to leave and it's a bit of a drive from Hanoi so make it worthwhile. Lan Ha Bay is very pretty. Thanks to all the staff who cared for us so well!!

Charm, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere - Our experience on the V’Spirit Cruise was simply wonderful. The crew and guides were very attentive at all times, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere on board. The boat is beautifully decorated, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We spent two nights, and by the second day we already felt almost at home. The food was delicious and varied. We highly recommend choosing the two-night option, as the excursion to Cat Ba Island is definitely worth it.

Best time ever - We really LOVED our few days on the cruise. The ship itself was beautiful, our room was extremely comfortable, the views were gorgeous and we really loved the crew- we will miss them dearly. I shed a tear saying goodbye to Rose and Moon. Henry and Ha were also incredible. There was a lot of scheduled activities that are optional although it may not seem like it. I wish we did not have to go to two different oyster / pearl farms followed by their stores as they felt very pushy / tourist traps when that time could have been spent differently. However, we loved the bike ride to the village and overall enjoyed our stay very much so. I would definitely recommend this cruise as well also made the greatest friends on the cruise who we will keep in touch with! They are also very accommodating with food preferences. Thank you!!!

Incredible Cruise Experience! - An unforgettable cruise experience! What a fantastic cruise! The staff were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Mr. Henry, the manager, was so warm and welcoming—he truly couldn’t do enough for us. We even joined his morning Tai Chi sessions, which were such a peaceful way to start the day. Mr. Nick was extremely helpful, Frankie was both informative and hilarious, Anh was wonderfully attentive, and Brandy makes the best drinks 😊. We also adored “The King,” who played traditional Vietnamese instruments with so much passion—it was a real highlight. The cruise ship itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and I especially loved the bath with scenic views—it felt almost surreal. I don’t eat fish, and they catered to me brilliantly. Every staff member knew my dietary requirement and made sure I received the perfect alternative at each meal. They even asked everyone about dietary needs before boarding, which was very thoughtful. My personalised menu was ideal, as the main one had a lot of seafood. The itinerary was excellent—cycling to the village was my favourite (with the option to go by electric car if preferred). We learned about Vietnamese culture and explored the charming local area. Kayaking was another highlight—such breathtaking natural beauty. Overall, I would definitely recommend the V’Spirit cruise at Halong Bay to anyone. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, culture, and unforgettable scenery!

Memorable - This was the end of our stay in Vietnam and boy did we save the best for last. Check in was smooth and Frankie made sure that all were accounted for and included before bowering the feeder vessel to take us to the big boat. A smooth 30 min journey, with lots of information given by tour guide, and as we approached we could see our bed for the next two nights. On board and taken straight for a buffet style lunch, lots of options for all the family and staff made sure that the kids were well taken care off. Off to the rooms where our cases were already placed, rooms are small, storage a little issue but that’s just me being critical!! Quick change and into the swimmers and off for a kayaking trip thru some caves, nice and easy start to the journey and very enjoyable. On return to the boat was swim time, a pool inflated at the back plus the sea and ideal way to end the day of activities. Dinner was served a beautiful selection of food while companies by local musician playing all sorts of instruments. Day 1 confused with adults enjoying a few beers and karaoke while kids went squid fishing, my eldest thought boring but my youngest loved it. Day 2, woke early and headed for the sun deck to do some early morning Tai Chi. A wonderful way to clear the system and start the day. After this we headed for our day trip and we were sent off to a day cruise boat. We headed to see a small local village where we cycled 6kn to it, you could go by vehicle but the beauty of it made me cycle both ways. A small kayaking session then off to a small cove for some swimming beach time. Retuned to the boat more swimming and change for dinner. Second night dinner similar to the first, but food was tasty. More squid fishing at night daughter did not find it so boring this night, maybe the company was better!! Day 3, we headed for a small kayak before needing to check out. A cooking class followed where we made Vietnamese fresh spring rolls and a sumptuous brunch, for me this was not required, just a later breakfast for those checking out would be more than adequate. A fantastic lifelong memory that will stay with us forever. Thank you to all the team especially Frankie.
