According to local stories, thousands of years ago, during King Hung’s reign, the Yin enemy from China invaded Van Lang (Vietnam’s name during King Hung’s rule). In this critical situation, Thanh Giong, a three-year-old child, helped the king defeat the invaders. After the battle, Thanh Giong left behind his iron horse and sword and returned to Heaven.
• Hang Luon Cave - Located on Bo Hon Island, about 14km south of Bai Chay Tourist Wharf and 1 km from Surprise Cave, Luon Cave is arc-shaped, 60 meters long, and 2.5 – 4 meters high, depending on the tide. Due to its height, visitors can only explore Luon Cave by small boat or kayak. When the tide is high, visitors must stoop to pass through. Halong Bay is renowned for its impressive cave system, and Luon Cave is a perfect blend of natural features, including rocky cliffs, mountain size and form, cloud and sea colors, and high biodiversity.

Luon Cave is one of the best spots in Halong Bay for kayaking. Enthusiasts should not miss it. Besides kayaking, rowing is another excellent option for exploring Luon Cave.
