Day 1: Ha Giang – Yen Minh - Heaven Gate - Tam Son – Tham Ma Pass - H’mong King Palace - Dong Van (135km)
Ha Giang - The journey begins at 8:30 am from our office in Ha Giang City, located at Mai’s Homestay, 40 Lam Dong Duong Doi. Here, participants will test and select a suitable dirt bike for their adventure. Once the perfect bike is chosen, the adventure begins with a ride through backroads, off-road paths, and rocky terrains.
On the first day, riders will traverse backroads, valleys, and alleys, following the river and witnessing the most impressive scenery with spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. Just 10 minutes outside the city, the stunning mountains and winding roads become visible, offering beautiful mountain vistas.
The first notable pass is Pac Sum Pass, offering a spectacular landscape view from over 1000 meters above sea level. The temperature noticeably cools, and a stop at the viewpoint allows for a panoramic view of the valley and villages, showcasing an amazing and stunning vista.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - After enjoying the view from Pac Sum Pass, riders will continue on their dirt bikes up to Heaven Gate. Along the way, the beautiful landscapes and valleys continue to impress. The journey passes through rock limestone mountains and villages, leading to Heaven Gate, where the landscape is truly breathtaking, with a vast and deep valley that will leave you in awe.
The journey continues to the valley of Tam Son Town. On the way, riders will visit Lung Tam Village, home to the Dao Minority people. The jeep will park at the village, allowing for a walk around and a visit to local families to learn about their culture.
Yen Minh - After visiting the village, the journey continues to Trang Kim Valley, offering stunning views. Riders will ascend Trang Kim Pass and stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the spectacular landscape. Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Yen Minh, with views of terrace rice paddies fields.
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After lunch, the ride continues to Dong Van. Along the way, there are many stops to visit famous places. After 20 minutes, riders will ascend Tham Ma Road, stopping to see the famous 9-step road and its panoramic views. The journey continues through Lao Xa Village and Cao Village to the Dong Van area, where stunning views of limestone mountains and rocky fields can be seen.
Dinh Vua Meo - After enjoying the beautiful scenery, it’s time to relax and visit the famous historical site of Dong Van. The Hmong King Palace offers a chance to learn about the history and culture of the Hmong people in Ha Giang. Built in 1902, it was the seat of power for two Hmong rulers.
Dong Van - After visiting the Hmong King Palace, riders will travel approximately 45 minutes to Dong Van Town for check-in and free time until dinner. There will be time to explore the town afterward.
Day 2: Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass - Nho Que River - Kayaking or Cruise on The River – Meo Vac Town – Du Gia Village
Ha Giang Journey - After a delicious breakfast, the journey continues from Dong Van Town. Today promises to be the most beautiful part of the journey, located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. Riders will traverse Ma Pi Leng Pass, known for its craggy cliffs and breathtaking views. Often called the “king” of Vietnam’s passes, it winds through cliffs and reaches an altitude of 2,000 meters.
To fully appreciate the pass’s beauty, riders will descend the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the valley and Nho Que River. From the mountain viewpoint, a 360° panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass offers unforgettable photo opportunities. Standing at the pass’s peak, the majestic mountains and rivers create an overwhelming sense of awe.
Meo Vac - After visiting Ma Pi Leng Pass and Nho Que River, the journey continues through Meo Vac, showcasing amazing passes and incredible scenery. A stop at the famous M Road is included. The journey proceeds through Duong Thuong Valley, revealing many beautiful sights. Lunch will be in the small town of Mau Due at a local restaurant, providing relaxation before continuing the trip.
Du Gia - After lunch, the journey continues to more remote villages, revealing how people live in Vietnam’s distant parts. Riders will pass through Lung Ho Village, stopping at a viewpoint to admire terrace rice paddies fields. The journey continues through Ha Giang Province’s mountainous trails to Du Gia Village, known for its amazing landscape and diverse ethnic minority population. The colorful village offers rich culture, and a visit to a waterfall for swimming is included. The night will be spent at a homestay with a Tay Minority Family in a private room, enjoying dinner and “happy water” with the family.
Day 3: Du Gia – Duong Thuong Village - Lung Khuy Cave – Ha Giang City
Ha Giang - Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 8 am. Afterward, the ride continues through trail roads to visit a waterfall in Du Gia Village. In summer, there will be a 45-minute swim.
By 9:30-10:30 am, the journey resumes towards Ha Giang, passing through Hmong minority villages.
At 11:30 am, the group arrives at Lung Tam Village to learn about Hmong hemp weaving.
At 1:30 pm, a lunch break is scheduled in the small but beautiful Tam Son Town, known for its delicious food.
From 2:30 to 4:30 pm, a 45km ride back to Ha Giang City includes stops at city viewpoints for panoramic views. The tour concludes with a final drink with the team.
At 5:30 pm, the tour finishes at the hotel or bus station.
Note: If an earlier return to Hanoi is desired, arrangements can be made for an early return to Ha Giang to catch the 3 pm bus back to Hanoi.
