Most of the structures were destroyed during the Japanese invasions. The current temple was completed after extensive excavations and renovations. Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto were the first UNESCO cultural heritage sites in Korea, designated in 1995.
- Gyeongju Gyochon Traditional Village - Gyochon Village: During the Silla dynasty, a national university was located in Gyochon Village. The university was known as Gukhak during the Silla dynasty. The Choi family’s house is located in Gyochon Village.
- Cheomseongdae Observatory - Cheomseongdae Observatory is National Treasure No. 31. It was constructed in the 7th century. Stars were observed in the sky through Cheomseongdae Observatory. The 27th Queen, Queen Seondeok of the Silla dynasty, built Cheomseongdae Observatory. It is the oldest astronomical observatory in the world.
- Daereungwon Tomb Complex - This site is where Silla’s ancient tombs are located and are considered symbols of Silla. The ancient tombs resemble museums. There are a total of 23 tombs in the park, belonging to kings, queens, and nobles.
- Donggung Palace And Wolji Pond - After Silla unified the Three Kingdoms, a large pond was excavated. It was established in the 19th year of King Munmu (A.D. 679). Donggung was the venue for significant national events and important visitors. It was here that King Gyeongsun hosted a reception for Wang Geon to seek assistance. Donggung Palace was where a prince resided. Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were restored in the 1980s and remain to this day. It is a stunning location for sunset and night views.
- Woljeonggyo Bridge - Woljeonggyo Bridge: There is a love story between Monk Wonhyo and Princess Yosuk associated with Woljeonggyo Bridge. It is said that only high-class individuals, such as nobles, could cross the bridge. The night view here is exceptionally beautiful.
