Yao Mountain: Named after the Yao Temple, which was constructed on its western slope during the Qin Dynasty, this mountain is located 8 kilometers from the city center and stands 909 meters above sea level. It is the largest and tallest mountain in the Guilin city area, composed of earth, and was once an island in the ancient ocean, unlike the other limestone hills in Guilin.
