• Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - At 9 am, the driver and tour guide will meet guests in the lobby of their Guilin or Yangshuo hotel to transfer them to the Longji Rice Terraces. The drive from Guilin takes approximately 1.5 hours, while from Yangshuo it takes about 2.5 hours.

The Longji Rice Terraces boast some of the most breathtaking views in China, and indeed the world. They are stunning when the sun reflects off the water in the paddy fields and glow with golden ears when the harvest is ready. Longji (Dragon’s Back) is truly a visual delight. The terraces cover around 66 square kilometers (25 sq mi) and are built into the hillsides, resembling grand amphitheaters or ribbons as they wind around the contours in tiered bands.

• Ping’an Village - Visitors can explore either the Ping’an terraces or Dazhai terraces, and can discuss their preference with the guide. A quick visit to the terraces is recommended as there is also a visit planned to the Chengyang Dong village.
• Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - Following the Longji terraces, the tour will proceed to the Chengyang Dong village, which requires a 1.5-hour drive.
  Chengyang Dong Villages consist of 8 traditional natural villages: Ma’an, Ping Zhai, Yan Zhai, Pingtan, Dong Zhai, Da Zhai, Pingpu, and Jichang. This 12.55 square kilometer area is home to about 2,200 Dong families and over 10,000 people.
• Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge - While exploring Chengyang, visitors will find themselves in a natural Dong Minority Museum. Each of the eight villages features a wind and rain bridge, a drum tower, and a stage, with each village showcasing unique designs of these public Dong structures. If time permits, hiring a local villager to explain the differences between each village can be very interesting.
