Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - Guests will be picked up from their hotel lobby in Guilin city center at 8:30 am to depart for Longsheng. The journey through the mountainous region will lead to the entrance of Longji Rice Terraces Scenic Area around 10:30 am. The first stop is at the minority village, Huang Luo Yao Village, for a 30-minute visit.
Next, guests will be taken to Pingan Rice Terraces for a short hiking tour lasting 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon. Along the way, they will enjoy the captivating views of the rice terraces, which are still used by Yao and Zhuang villagers to cultivate high-quality rice. Lunch is flexible and can be taken according to guests’ preferences. The sightseeing at the rice terraces concludes around 3:00 pm, and guests will be returned to their hotel in Guilin by approximately 5:30 pm. - Guilin - The tour concludes with a transfer back to the hotel or any location within Guilin city.

Starting from Guilin, one can explore the rich cultures and customs of ethnic minorities, marvel at the breathtaking terraced fields, savor local cuisines, and appreciate the diverse and stunning landscapes of the terraced fields throughout the four seasons. In spring, the water-filled terraces reflect like mirrors. In summer, they turn green and vibrant as rice seedlings are transplanted. In autumn, the ripening rice turns the fields a golden yellow. In winter, the snow-covered terraces create softer, smoother lines, forming an elegant ink-wash painting alongside the mountains, bamboo forests, and villages.

Picturesque Longji Rice Terraces experience - I highly recommend Charles as a local tour guide. Guilin( China) is picturesque destination known for its breathtaking mountains and water landscape. I appreciated Charles wealth of knowledge of local culture, history, attractions and good places to find cheap eats. I loved the lunch at local village after the hike from Longji Rice Terraces. The food was fresh, authentic local flavors, inexpensive and mouthwatering delicious! I really enjoyed the tour. Thanks Charles for a great local experience.

Excelente experience - This tour is an absolute must if you’re traveling to this area. It’s the best way to experience the stunning rice terraces and the traditional ancient villages that make this region so unique. The landscapes between the mountains are truly breathtaking, and our guide made the experience even better — incredibly friendly, attentive, and always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to discover the real beauty of China.

Beautifull scenery - My driver was Charles which was a really bice person and driver, no complaints about that :). The tour itself is literally what you expect, no scams, you will be picked up from your lobby and you will be brought towards the rice field with a little stop in a village for a quick visit, and then to the actual destination the rice terraces. There you will be able to walk alone along the path which is extremely beautifull (i told my driver i was able to do it alone since i prefer it that way). How long you will stay it is up to you, i walk pretty fast ;). The scenery is gorgeous, and walking down to the parking area to meet your driver you will walk through the village which is nice if you are interested in it, if not it is just a nice walk. After my driver brought me to a restaurant in the same village where the food was nice, no complaints, and the view was, again, gorgeous. I went off season so there was few people, i suggest you to do the same. The rice was already harvested but being alone is way better than being in a crowd, definetly more "magical". Recommended

sublime - to see absolutely, however it is very far and driving is very dangerous in China .Lots of traffic .I attended a dance show with minorities with long hair ,not worth the price ,moreover it was not included .The guide stops us at a visit of tea fields with a 5 minute tour of explanation with a tasting of which we feel obliged to buy tea which is at 40$ Canadian the small pot very disappointing .

We had a great time with... - We had a great time with this tour. Charles picked us up right at the start time from our hotel and drove us to the rice terraces. We were fortunate to visit the rice terraces just a few days before the harvest, so the hills were a spectacular sea of gold, with layers and layers of rice fields.
During the trip, he knew all the logistical tricks to avoid the biggest crowds and congested areas. He was also knowledgeable and passionate about his hometown, and gave us a lot of insight about the history and culture of the area.
This tour was a wonderful experience!

Best tour in China - This was the best tour we took in China! Charles reach out to us and pre arrange the itinerary to our preference. Then a few days prior to the tour, Charles reached out again to confirm. He’s very professional . He connects us to our tour guide, Jenny, who was pleasant, sweet, on time, and most importantly spoke very well English. She’s accommodate us to all of our needs and took really good care of my mom who needs a little help with the walk. Book this tour, you will not regret it and remember to ask for Jenny.

Trip absolutely to do. - I took this trip with my husband, daughter is a friend. The day before I received an email that the trip is confirmed and that a driver is coming to pick us up from the hotel. The next morning Jackie had come to pick us up - very good tour guide, who took us to see the rice fields. Everything was organized very well in all details. He accompanied us everywhere and explained everything. In the end he took us to a restaurant for lunch which I highly recommend to go. Wonderful rice fields. Everything is perfect.
