Daxu Old Town - Situated on the northern bank of the Li River, approximately 23 km southeast of Guilin, Daxu Ancient Town boasts a humid subtropical climate and stunning scenery. Established in 200 AD, with a history spanning over 1800 years, the town gained recognition as one of the four fair towns during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The preserved residences and alleyways visible today predominantly reflect the architectural styles of the Ming and Qing (1636-1911) dynasties, featuring aged black bricks and grey tiles along the old stone-paved streets. Presently, visitors can still find traditional manual workshops producing straw sandals, bamboo crafts, traditional funeral items, herbal medicine, and an old-style barbershop. The Wanshou Bridge, a single-arched stone bridge built during the Ming Dynasty, is a major highlight of this ancient town. Visiting Daxu Ancient Town offers a deeper understanding of local life and the historical and cultural ambiance.

Guilin Yaoshan Mountain Scenic Resort - Yaoshan Mountain is located to the east of Guilin. Its highest peak reaches 903.3 meters, making it the tallest mountain in Guilin. The mountain is named after a temple dedicated to the Yao emperor. Each season presents a unique view: spring is adorned with azalea flowers, summer showcases lush bamboo, autumn features fiery red maples with falling leaves, and winter’s snow is as clear as pure crystal. Yaoshan Mountain is home to several attractions, including Yao Temple, White Deer Temple, Jade Breast Pond, and Tianci Field. The Jingjiang King Tombs, covering over 100 square meters, are the area’s most renowned attractions. The toboggan slide, both thrilling and engaging, stretches 100 meters with 18 turns, descending from the top of Yaoshan Mountain. As you slide down, enjoy the beautiful views of rocks, flowers, and brooks on either side.
