- Fubo Hill - After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, the driver and tour guide will meet the guests in the hotel lobby at 9:00 am to transfer them to Fubo Hill. Partially submerged in the river, this hill was named after General Fubo of the Tang Dynasty and was the location of his Mayuan Temple. Due to its height, the hill is believed to calm the waves and halt the surging waters, creating whirlpools.
Climb nearly 350 steps to enjoy a panoramic view of Guilin. The steps beside the Sword Testing Stone lead to the 1,000 Buddha Cave, which houses over 200 Buddha statues from the Tang Dynasty.
- Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Next, visit Reed Flute Cave to admire the stunning stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers, all illuminated by colorful lights.
- Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - Then, travel by private car to Elephant Trunk Hill, located at the confluence of the Li River and Peach River. This iconic symbol of Guilin is named for its resemblance to an elephant drinking from the river. The popular site is over 3.6 million years old and rises more than 180 feet (55 meters) above the river’s green waters.
- Seven Star Park (Qixing Gongyuan) - After lunch, transfer to Seven Star Park, named for its seven peaks arranged like the Big Dipper constellation (with its handle bent forward). The park is situated on the eastern side of the Li River in central Guilin City.
There are numerous activities to enjoy: a small zoo, an amusement park, seven hills, and Camel Hill, where visitors can take photos with live camels. The park also features elusive monkeys, cultural displays, and a small cave.
The main attractions in the park include Seven Star Cave, Dragon Hiding Cave, Flower Bridge, the Zoo, Maping Mosque, Guihai Forest of Steles, and much more. Spanning an area of 1.34 square kilometers, it is the largest park in Guilin and offers some of the city’s most remarkable sights.
