Guilin - Upon arrival, a local driver will greet you with a welcome sign displaying your name and transfer you to your hotel in Guilin (Driver only, no guide). The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Guilin to Yangshuo. O/N Guilin.

Guilin - At 9:00 am, your driver/guide will meet you at your Guilin hotel and transfer you to the Yulong River in Yangshuo for a bamboo boat ride.

Yulong River - The Yulong River is a 30-minute drive from Yangshuo. The bamboo boat ride lasts 60 minutes, with two people per boat. Known as ‘the Little Li River’, the Yulong River is a tributary of the Li River, beginning in Northern Yangshuo County. With its dramatic karst landscape, smooth waters, and ancient bridges, it is an ideal spot for bamboo rafting.

Xianggong Mountain - Following the bamboo boat ride, you will be transferred to Xianggong Hill, a 40-minute drive away. Xianggong Hill is the most picturesque mountain along the Li River. A 15-minute walk up 400 steps offers a panoramic view of the entire Li River.

West Street - Next, take a private car to West Street for lunch and enjoy a stroll through downtown Yangshuo, including the famous West Street. Known for its hundreds of shops offering a wide variety of local crafts, antiques, and souvenirs, it is a shopper’s paradise. Alternatively, you can wander through the alleyways or along the river, observing the local life.

Impression Sanjie Liu - At 6:30 pm, your guide will meet you in the Yangshuo West Street area to attend the show. The light show lasts 70 minutes (7:30 pm - 8:40 pm), and you will return to your Guilin hotel around 10:30 pm (9:00 pm - 10:30 pm). The Impression Liu Sanjie show is a highlight of Yangshuo, offering a unique night performance. Unlike other shows, it features a water and hill scenery theater, using the Li River as the stage and 12 hills as the backdrop. The vast sky creates the largest virtual scenery theater in the world. As an outdoor theater, the show changes with the seasons and weather, offering a different experience each time.

Guilin to Yangshuo. O/N Guilin.

Guilin - At 9:00 am, your driver/guide will meet you at your Guilin hotel and transfer you to the Silver Cave in Yangshuo.

Silver Cave - The cave is a 40-minute drive from Yangshuo, and English headsets are available for the entire cave tour. Located in Maling Town of Lipu County, about 85 kilometers (53 miles) south of Guilin’s city center and 18 kilometers (11 miles) from Yangshuo, the Silver Cave is the largest karst cave in Guilin. It showcases the charm of the typical karst landform in southern China. Numerous crystal stalactites hang from the cave’s roof like stars in a falling Milky Way, glittering like silver and diamonds under colorful lights, giving the cave its name. The saying goes, “One will never be down and out as long as one reaches the Silver Cave.” The cave’s majestic, otherworldly features make it an outstanding example of the karst landscape.

Moon Hill - South of the Big Banyan Tree in Gaotian Town, about 8 km (5 miles) from Yangshuo County, lies the natural wonder Moon Hill. At the hilltop is a round hole that penetrates the hill from north to south, resembling a bright moon, hence the name Moon Hill. Originally a limestone cave, it is one of the karst formations in the area. It is the final stop along the picturesque ‘Ten-Mile Gallery’, a superb tourism section in Yangshuo County. In 1972, former U.S. President Richard Nixon and his wife climbed the hill. Today, Moon Hill hiking and rock climbing are popular activities among visitors.

Xingping Town - In Xingping Town, you can enjoy lunch and visit the old street and 20 RMB viewpoint. You can also take a small boat to explore the Li River, paying locally in cash. Once the largest town along the Li River in ancient times, Xingping Town is 63 km (39 miles) from Guilin and 25 km (15.5 miles) from Yangshuo, on the river’s east bank. The town is surrounded by captivating scenery, with Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal as part of this scenic area.

Fuli Ancient Town - Next, visit Fuli Town, where you can explore old streets, paintings, fans, and water buffalo. Located about eight kilometers east of Yangshuo County, Fuli is a quiet old town with an 800-year history, known as the artistic town of the area for its colorful fans and scroll paintings. Along the cobbled alleyways connecting the center, you’ll find small factories making painted paper fans. Watch the intricate paper fans being made and hand-painted in this tranquil old town on the Li River’s banks. Fuli has two sides: the rapidly developing new town along the main road and the old town center on the Li River’s bank, where nearly all the old houses remain, offering a glimpse into the simple lives of the local people.

Guilin - At 9:00 am, your driver/guide will meet you at your Guilin hotel.

Daxu Old Town - First, visit Daxu Old Town for an hour. Located on the banks of the Lijiang River, 28 kilometers from the city, Daxu is known for its well-preserved ancient buildings, worn bluestone streets, and traditional culture. Once a major market during the Ming Dynasty, it still thrives today. Visitors can browse stalls selling a variety of traditional handicrafts.

Guilin Yaoshan Mountain Scenic Resort - Next, head to Yao Mountain, where you can take a chairlift up and toboggan down, spending an hour there. Yao Mountain is the highest mountain within Guilin City, offering a view of the karst landscape. After visiting the mountain, head to the Yao Mountain Tea Plantation, about 3.5 km from the entrance. Operated by the most authoritative tea research base in Guangxi, the plantation offers a unique experience of tea leaf picking, manufacturing, and tasting. During this 1-1.5 hour Chinese tea culture exploration, staff will teach you professional skills for picking and tasting tea and show you the detailed tea-making process. A special tea performance show is also available.

Warm tip: From November to March, it is not the right season for tea leaves to grow, so you cannot pick leaves at the plantation during this time. However, you can enjoy the tea performance and taste tea year-round.

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - Afterwards, transfer to Elephant Hill, a central attraction and landmark of Guilin City. The beautiful natural views combined with valuable cultural landscapes make it a fascinating place that captivates tourists.

Sun and Moon Pagodas - Enjoy lunch at Zhengyang Walking Street and explore the Sun and Moon Pagodas and lakes area. Afterward, return to your Yangshuo hotel or be dropped off at your hotel in Guilin or the Guilin train station/airport.

Guilin to Longji. Tour Ends.

Guilin - Your private driver and personal guide will pick you up from your Guilin hotel for a 2-hour drive, covering 100 km.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - First, arrive at the Longji ticket office and stop for 15 minutes to purchase tickets before continuing to Ping’an or Dazhai Village.

Ping’an Village - Your first stop is the ‘Long Hair Village’, Huangluo, where Yao women grow their hair to impressive lengths, some as long as 6.6 feet (2 meters)! Learn about Yao lifestyles here before heading to Ping’an Village, nestled among the stunning rice terraces of Longji. The village is home to traditional wooden houses, where Zhuang and Yao minorities have tended their fields for centuries.

Enjoy a traditional lunch in Ping’an (at your own expense) before your guide leads you through the rice terraces, sharing the story of how these breathtaking landscapes were created over centuries as locals carved fields out of Longji’s steep slopes. Immerse yourself in the lush scenery and relaxing atmosphere as you capture timeless photographs.
