Guilin - In the morning, an English-speaking driver will collect you from the hotel around 07:45 and take you to the Zhujiang pier. Here, you will embark on the Guilin Li River cruise to Yangshuo on a 4-star boat, which includes a buffet lunch. Boat tickets can be arranged upon request.

Li River - Boarding is at 9:20 am, and the cruise lasts approximately 4 hours. With the guidance and insights from the boat guide, you can fully appreciate the breathtaking karst landscape, featuring rolling hills, lush forests, unique caves, and peaceful villages along the Li River. A buffet-style Chinese lunch will be served on board before arriving in Yangshuo at 2:00 pm.

Xianggong Mountain - After disembarking, you will be driven to Yangshuo’s Xianggong Hill. A 15-minute climb up a moderately sloped staircase leads to the top. Please inform the guide in advance if a walking stick is needed. Situated between the renowned Yellow Cloth Shoal and Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill offers one of the best vantage points in Guilin to admire the beauty of the Li River. The spectacular view of the river’s 180-degree bend draws numerous visitors and photographers each year.

Yangshuo County - Finally, the driver will take you to your hotel in Yangshuo, where you will have free time. There is an option to attend the ‘Impression Sanjie Liu’ night show, performed on and above the Li River against the backdrop of lush hills. The enchanting stage effects and authentic singing and dancing by ethnic minorities have earned the show high praise from visitors. The performance starts at 20:00 and lasts for 70 minutes, with ticket prices ranging from CNY 268 to CNY 368, depending on seating. If interested, the driver can reserve tickets and escort you to the venue after dinner.

Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo.

Yangshuo County - In the morning, the driver will pick you up from the hotel around 09:00 and take you to the Yulong River for the Yangshuo Yulong bamboo boat tour.

Yulong River - A bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River, a tributary of the Li River, offers a serene way to enjoy the picturesque area south of Yangshuo. Experience the stunning scenery and rural life on a traditional, non-motorized raft steered by a gondolier, passing small mud-brick villages and farmlands. Once on the bamboo raft, relax and take in the peaceful countryside and limestone mountains. Even if you have cycled the area, the view from the river offers a different perspective. The boat ride lasts 90 minutes, one way.

Fuli Ancient Town - Next, travel by car to Yangshuo Fuli Town, about a 20-minute drive. Here, you will experience local farmers’ lives. The guide will first take you to a local market, then to the old streets to see fans, paintings, and water buffalo near the river (at the end of the street).

Xingping Town - Once a quiet riverside village, Xingping has grown into a town with an old center that can be explored in about an hour. Xingping has a rich history, with many buildings dating back to the Qing and Ming dynasties. On market days, the town becomes lively as locals from surrounding villages come to trade. Restaurants and coffee shops offer the local specialty, beer fish, and a variety of local handicrafts, including affordable handmade jewelry. The scenery around Xingping is stunning, and you can see the view depicted on the national 20 RMB note.

Yangshuo County - At the end of the day, you will be driven back to your hotel in Yangshuo.

Yangshuo–Guilin–Longji terraces. O/N Ping’an village.

Yangshuo County - The driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby around 09:00 in the morning. You will be driven to Guilin city center, a journey of about 90 minutes covering 60 km.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - First, visit the Reed Flute Cave before checking into the hotel in Guilin. Located in the northwest suburb of Guilin, Guangxi, China, 7 km from the city center, the cave is about 240 meters (787 ft) deep and 500 meters (1640 ft) long. It features numerous exquisite stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars, and stone curtains, formed over 180 million years, earning it the nickname “the Palace of Natural Art.”

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - Next, transfer to Elephant Hill, a popular attraction and landmark in the center of Guilin City. The beautiful natural views combined with valuable cultural landscapes make it a captivating place that enchants tourists.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - After lunch, head to Longsheng to visit the Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces. Located 27 kilometers (16 miles) from Longsheng town, the terraces stretch layer upon layer from the mountain base to its summit. Constructed by the local Zhuang people since the 13th century during the Yuan Dynasty, the terraces now cover 66 square kilometers (about 16,308 acres) and span altitudes between 300 meters (about 984 feet) and 1,100 meters (about 3,608 feet). Standing on the mountain, you will be amazed by the fields and curved lines around the mountains. You will also visit the Villages of Zhuang to experience unique Chinese ethnic culture.

Ping’an village–Sanjiang Chengyang village. O/N Zhaoxing.

Ping’an Village - In the morning, you can hike around the village to visit the Nine Dragons & Five Tigers viewpoint and Seven Stars with Moon viewpoint area. Meet the driver at 11:00 am for a 1.5-hour drive to Sanjiang Chengyang Dong village.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - Chengyang village, located at the foot of mountains and surrounded by rivers, features well-preserved residential houses and a charming natural landscape. In the village, you will see the landmark constructions of Dong village, the Wind and Rain Bridge, and the Drum Tower. Built with wood and bricks, the Wind and Rain Bridge combines the styles of a bridge, corridor, and kiosk, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. Originally built to provide shelter for field workers, it later became a popular meeting place for young people and a famous attraction for visitors worldwide. The Drum Tower, always located in the village center, serves as the political and cultural hub. When the village chief beats the drum on the top floor, villagers stop their work and gather around the Drum Tower.

Zhaoxing DongZhai - At the end of the day, you will be driven back to your hotel in Zhaoxing village.

Dong Nationality Style Village of Zhanli - Next, visit Zhanli village, about 16 kilometers from Congjiang county. Zhanli village is a gathering point for the Dong ethnic group, home to 836 villagers in 186 households. During the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Zhanli’s ancestors established a rule to balance the population with the amount of cultivated land. If you wish to explore further, you can visit Huanggang village, another Dong ethnic gathering. Huanggang village celebrates many local festivals, with the most important ones held on January 7 and June 15 of the Chinese lunar calendar. Located in remote mountains, Huanggang maintains production and living customs that have endured for thousands of years.

Zhaoxing DongZhai - At the end of the day, you will be driven back to your hotel.

Zhaoxing–Congjiang–Kaili. O/N Kaili.

Xiaohuang Village - Afterward, transfer to Yintan Dong village in Congjiang, similar to Xiaohuang village. Yintan Dong village, about twenty kilometers from Congjiang, is one of the most representative Dong villages in Guizhou, known for its Dong buildings and daily life. Although the houses are relatively recent (50-100 years old), they adhere to Dong architectural rules. The village’s natural environment, houses, drum towers, and pavilions are distinctly different from those in the West. The village’s drum tower, standing 21 feet high in the center, is a prominent feature. Visitors feel immersed in time amidst the well-preserved buildings.

Kaili - Then, transfer to Congjiang, stopping first at Shiqiao village. Located about 2.5 km southeast of Danzhai County, Shiqiao Miao Village is known for its traditional paper-making. The Miao ethnic group there still leads a self-sufficient lifestyle. Shiqiao Miao village, with over 300 households and a population of more than 1300, has about 60 households engaged in paper-making. Many Miao people there excel in this craft.

Kaili–Langde village–Guiyang. O/N Guiyang.

Miao Village - Before heading to Guiyang, visit the Lanhua, Jidao, and Langde Miao villages, located about an hour’s drive from Kaili city center. Langde village, 30 km from Kaili, is surrounded by green mountains and situated beside a clear stream. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with “block-the-way” wine, a local custom. Twelve tables are set along the path from the highroad to the village gate. Enjoy traditional Miao-style stilt houses and sweet Miao folk songs. Afterward, take a leisurely walk on the cobblestone or bluestone roads and courtyards.

Guiyang - At the end of the day, you will be driven back to your Guiyang hotel.

Guiyang - The guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby around 09:00 in the morning. You will be driven to the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall, a 120-minute ride away.

Huangguoshu Water Falls - The Huangguoshu Waterfall, a miniature Milky Way, is the largest waterfall in Asia. Standing 74 meters (243 feet) high and 81 meters (266 feet) wide, it is a scenic wonder not to be missed in Guizhou Province. The waterfall national park includes three main areas: Waterfalls Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave, and Rhinoceros Pool (Xi Niu Tan). Start at the Waterfall-Viewing Pavilion (Guan Pu Ting) for a panoramic view of the waterfall. From the Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang Shui Ting), enjoy the grand scene of surging water. The third pavilion, also called Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang Shui Ting), is beside the Rhinoceros Pool. The stunning night scene of the grand waterfall leaves a lasting impression.

Longgong Caves (Dragon Palace) - Next, visit the Dragon Palace Cave (Longong Cave), the longest water cave in China. Named for its resemblance to a crystal palace where the “Dragon King” resides, Dragon Palace Cave Scenic Spot features the longest water cave, the widest underground waterfall, the largest Buddhist cave, and the lowest natural radiation in China. Approved as a national scenic spot in 1988, Dragon Palace Scenic Spot covers 60 square kilometers and includes the Rape Lake, the Whirlpool, the Leech Pass, and the Dragon Palace Cave itself. The cave features Heavenly Pool, Dragon Palace, Tiger’s Cave, Longmen Waterfall, and other captivating landscapes.

Anshun–Xingyi Malinghe gorge. O/N Xingyi.

Malinghe Scenic Area - The Malinghe Gorges are located in the northeastern part of the scenic area. Waterfalls cascade from hilltops along the valley, with various Karst caves behind the falls or in the cliffs. Lush subtropical plants line the riversides. The Malinghe River, a tributary of the Nanpanjiang River, runs through the gorges. Scenic spots along the river include the Chelang Hot Spring, the Colourful Corridor, the Tianxing Gallery, and the Zhaojiadu ferry crossing. The winding river roars through the gorges, making it an ideal spot for white-water rafting. The most beautiful part of the gorge is Tian Xing Hua Lang-Heavenly Star Gallery, about 2 km long with an average depth of 200 meters. Numerous cascades create a stunning picture of the grand canyon. Walk down to the canyon’s bottom, stroll along the gorge, and climb up through another gate. The entire sightseeing trip for Xian Xing Hua Lang takes about 2.5 hours. Remember to wear suitable hiking shoes. A cable car is available for an additional fee if you prefer not to walk.

Xingyi - At the end of the day, you will be driven back to your hotel.

Xingyi Geopark - In the morning, an English-speaking driver will meet you at 8:00 am and transfer you to Xingyi Geopark to visit the Thousands of Hills Scenic spot.

Wanfenglin Scenic Area - Spend 2-3 hours at Wanfenglin area, using the local shuttle bus and walking around the villages to enjoy the breathtaking natural views. Wanfenglin (Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks) is divided into east and west peak forests, each offering different scenery and showcasing classic Karst landforms. Wanfenglin is a key component of the national scenic area Maling River Canyon. The east peak forest features Karst peak cluster landforms, while the west peak forest showcases highland Karst landforms. With its grand and beautiful scenery, Peak Forest feels like a wonderland. It resembles a scroll painting of green-grey peaks and golden fields, creating a paradise-like atmosphere.

Kunming - After lunch, transfer to Kunming city, a 5-hour drive covering 300 km. This marks the end of the 10-day tour services.
