TGR Exotics was great! I didn't expect such a variety of animals, many of which I've never seen in person before. The guy who gave us the tour was fantastic and very informative. My only negative comment is that I would definitely recommend wearing mud boots, there are areas of soggy ground.
The tour guide was very good. He was very informative and good about answering all questions.
Good informative tour. Neat animals and not too long
We truly enjoyed our visit! We had a 18 month old child with us - time frame for the guided tour was perfect. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and gave us plenty of time to ask questions and take pictures. We will recommend TGR Exotics to other family members and friends.
Our time with the spider monkey was precious. She was so sweet and we were not rushed and could ask a million questions. Would highly recommend to any animal lover young or old!
Devin Root, our tour guide, is extremely knowledgeable and has a fantastic personality. He made our tour very pleasant. This place is a hidden gem in Spring. I highly recommend you go.
I loved this surprising little place! The tour guide made the animals even more relatable; I enjoyed the stories he related about his relationships with them. This place is not flashy but they seem to take very good care of the animals. I will say this - chasing my very monkey-like toddler to keep him from getting too close to the cages would be my only word of caution for others. Everything is fenced off, it's just the fencing isn't necessarily toddler proof. You can bring a stroller, but it really needs to be a sturdier model with bigger wheels as the walkways are just stone pathyways or grass. Thanks for a lovely morning!
Fun and very informative! Kids had a blast!
Tour guide was friendly and knew the animals. Lots of fun.
It was nice to have a small group and hear information about all of the animals. My children and I loved it!
Very informative and patient with the kids and their questions. Already recommended it to my friends to go check it out.
Gwen was an excellent guide. Patient and knowledgeable. Made us feel comfortable. Patient and explained everything. We had fun with our 2 kids, both who have special needs. They had a blast! The facility is clean and well run, the animals look well cared for. Our trip exceeded our expectations!
The place was very nice. They had lots of animals and my kids really enjoyed it. The tour guide, Nicole, was great. I would highly recommend this for anyone. I'm sure we will be back in the future.
So not like a zoo! So clean, animal's all seemed content and well cared for. My kids really enjoyed it. Our guide was so knowledgeable she made the tour interesting and fun.
The guide tour was excellent. Very informative. Our guide was very upbeat and great with the kids.
Tour guide was very informative. Lots of animals. Clean. Organized.
Wonderful tour guide. She took her time to answer all questions, showed us all around
Plenty of animals you would not see at the zoo. The tour guide was very personable and full of fun facts about the animals. Constantly viewing different animals as walked around for the entire 1.5 hrs. Value is definitely worth the cost.
Great guide! Thanks, Neil!
Great tour with knowledgeable guide
Our tour guide was great. He was very good with the kids in our group.
This place is an absolute must do for all ages! This is such a hidden gem in our community! My daughters and I had an absolutely fantastic time! Visiting TGR Exotics was the highlight of our Spring Break! We got up close and personal with so many different incredible animals, witnessed how they are loved and well cared for and received so much information from our guide. Since I visited I have been telling everyone how amazing it is and that they need to go!
The animals are amazing and you get to see them really close. The guide, Nick, gave us very interesting information.
I would have liked for the tour guide to give more info on what we saw and to make sure we all heard.
What an amazing place! So clean such a well thought out , intentional habitat and hone for each animal. Excellent guide! Love this place will highly recommend! My grandchildren loved it! We will be back!
Very cool experience being able to pet the animals! Our particular tour day was very wet and muddy/swampy, maybe more of the wood chips could be spread around on wet days to make the walking easier. Overall, I would recommend the tour!
For more than just the tour we are more than satisfied. The tour itself was great. We got to see a lot of unusual (For Texas) animals and the guide was very thorough in telling us about them. I learned more on the tour than I did in five years at school! What went above and beyond was the customer service afterwards. Our car got stuck in the mud and the owner came out with her tractor and rescued us. It wasn't just a quick tow either, it was 30 minutes of trying and she kept going even when we were sure we couldn't get the car out. A couple of her staff members helped too and really went above and beyond to help us out. This was after the tour as well, they could easily have let us call a tow service but they showed how kind hearted they are. We are going to tell anyone and everyone about our experience there. This place is a must visit for anyone that loves animals and we will certainly be coming back again after this time !
The tour was informative and a real fun time!!!! Next time we are going to feed the sloth!!!!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. I brought my 2 grandkids, ages 9 & 12, and we all loved the experience!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wildcat enclosers seemed a bit small though. Was wondering if you provide a larger area for them to run in?
Great experience! Gabbi is 6 and totally loved it!
We went to the basic/public tour at TGR and first and foremost I want to say that our guide, Gavin, was AMAZING... kind, friendly, knowledgeable too! The facility is gorgeous and well maintained and all the animals seem healthy, happy and well cared for. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit and have already started bragging about this gem!! We will be BACK!!
We went for our daughter's second birthday, but we all ended up having a lot more fun than we had anticipated! Being closer than usual to the animals created a really unique experience. I especially loved the llamas and being able to pet them! We would definitely recommend going and I actually hope we get to do some of their other tours, as well!
Great place to visit for young or older! For our first time we did the Look Inside Tour! It was worth it to get to see some of the animals up close! We will definitely be back and doing more of the encounters!
We had a wonderful time! The guided tour was informative and entertaining. Our knowledgable tour guide shared wonderful stories about his own personal encounters with the animals and it made for a very enjoyable experience! We hope to return again.
