Although it was awesome to have a driver and we very much enjoyed Kim and the fact that we were the only folks on the tour, I feel it fell slightly short on expectations. Online there is an indication of a brewery tour as indicated on your website. We paid $110 to go from the empress to rock bay - which in terms of value for money I don’t feel like this was great value for money.

The driver (Scott) was entertaining and friendly, but the experience was far oversold for what you get. We toured 3 breweries, and none of them were seemingly alerted to our tour before arriving. We remained in a 15-minute driving radius, but Scott tried to make it seem longer by driving around and giving information on other things in Victoria. The first brewery didn't really know how to create flights, so it took a while to get them one by one. Our group was small, thankfully, or we wouldn't have gotten a table at the 2nd of the brewery. Part of the package was supposed to be a 'backend' tour of one of the breweries; however, we saw behind-the-bar tanks and had a 5-min spiel from the bar tender on the process of brewing at a very small (but lovely) brewery as our last stop. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable but not the brewmaster and could only provide so much information. That was the whole 'tour'. The tour guide was not on time and was close to an hour later than previously arranged, so we had to hang around in the heat for an hour waiting. The guide stated his bus was held up at another tour in another part of the island. A bit frustrating and not at all what was expected based on the advertisement on Breakaway Experiences. This was a birthday present for my partner and was a letdown, given we have done other brewery tours that are far better organized for less money. We are locals to the area and not tourists so maybe that has a hand in the lack of organization, pricing, and dedication with arranging time with the breweries. It was not cool to feel like we were a side gig and intruding. We did meet another lovely couple and enjoyed getting to know each other. All in all, 3 stars is because of the tour guide's efforts, not the experience itself.

Our tour took us to 3 locations, each quite distinctive in the beers they offered. Some of the offerings may not have been beer, in the commonly understood way, with very distinctive fruit or candy flavors. The participants enjoyed one another's company, but maybe too much, and our guide was happy to let things flow as they might. I had expected to be shown the manufacturing process at at least one location; but despite repeated requests, that never happened. This was, in my view, very disappointing.

Extremely unimpressed. Barely any of the advertised experience actually happened, I have sent an email to the office describing it in more detail already, since that's how poor the experience was.

Pickup outside a closed restaurant! Really !! What a joke ! Driver driving right by us without knowing where we were. Price is ridiculous. You get three flights of beer for over $100 ! This was NOT A TOUR ! It was simply a bus driving you to three locations for three flights of beer. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS “TOUR” Very very disappointing!
