The Smith River is a great tail water experience. Abundant brown and a few rainbow trout. The water is not uniformly clear and there is a fair bit of overhang that can challenge one's casting. We actually caught more numbers nearer to the dam than further downstream. Overall, a very good experience for seasoned fly fishermen.
