It was great! Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. The staff was helpful and the equipment was in good shape. We'll be back!
Our guide was very informative and fun.
We had such a fun time. Our guide (whose name I do not remember) was super friendly and knowledgeable. Seriously, the best thing we did all week - and we did A LOT! THANKS - Amy Birdwell, Elena & Camellia
Reservations were easy to make online, directions to facilities were clear, staff was ready to help board and disembark from canoes, and the guide gave us information about the river and Austin while still letting us enjoy the adventure on our own.
Our guide was fantastic, and it was such a great view of the bats!
Very cool experience.
Jimmy was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and had great recommendations!
We had a great experience with Congress Avenue Kayaks! Jimmy was our guide and he was very welcoming and very informative. The whole process was smooth and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water. And the BATS! The BATS! Just WOW! An unforgettable experience! My only suggestion is that your website make the reservation process more clear. I went to your boathouse to try and reserve for the next day and was told that I could only make reservations on the website. I was also told that there were only four spots left (and I needed all four). So a short time later, I went to the website and tried to reserve for four, but it would only allow me to reserve for two. I took what I could get, but when two of us showed up the next day, I was told that I had paid for FOUR, and that when you reserve for ONE, you are actually reserving one kayak (for two people), not one spot, so I had unknowingly reserved TWO kayaks for FOUR people. Confusing! Maybe I missed something, but am wondering if others have done the same thing. Fortunately, I was able to reach my other two friends in time, and they were very happy to join us. This aside, though, it was a wonderful experience!
The kayaks (double sit-on-top) were not as comfortable as others I've rented (namely from the Rowing Dock). Other than that the trip was great and a ton of fun!
Everything about this trip was top notch and so much fun!
We really enjoyed this tour.
We had such a great time! Equipment was great, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Such a great family friendly event!!
My friend and I loved the sunset bat tour. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable.
Ben was knowledgeable and extremely hilarious. I’m still laughing
Great location and have been by there several times on business trips and finally decided I wanted to watch the bats. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and even offered to a pic of us and sent it to us. Will highly recommend :)
It was great, and our tour guide was very friendly. It was an amazing experience. Very cool to see the bats fly directly over our heads.
We had an absolutely fantastic time and completely locked out on a beautiful night observing the bats! Our guide was absolutely phenomenal. It was obvious that he loves his job, teaching people about Austin and the history behind the Colorado River and the bats and the bridge! He made the night extra fun and took amazing pictures of everyone and everything. I cannot say enough about our experience and will be recommending to all my friends to take this tour through you guys!!
Wonderful tour, thank you!
Jeff was excellent. Great directions to the kayaks, easy free parking, and an all around great experience on the water and watching the bats. This is a must do in Austin.
Had a great adventure.
Everything was smooth and easy with our tour rental and logistics. "Fish", our guide was great! A very well-organized operation and the bats were amazing as always!
Enjoyed the guide and history of Austin and the bats. It was a great way to see the bats.
Jeff was an awesome guide that is passionate about Austin and what the bats give to the Austin community. He took pictures of everyone in the group so we could enjoy viewing the bats as they flew overhead. You also get a better view from the kayaks versus the boat tours.
Quality tour and very nice tour guide
Jeff was a great tour guide and made sure that we were all comfortable in our kayaks and that we made it to the best spots to view the bats. His knowledge of the history and facts made it a great experience - so much better than just watching for the bats to come out on our own!
Jeff was a great tour guide. He was friendly and helpful. The bats were pretty cool too!
Our tour guide, Jeff, was awesome! Such a sweet guy. Great, down to earth vibe with a genuine love and passion for what he does. Went out of his way to ensure everyone had a great time. We felt terrible that we didn’t think to bring cash with us to tip him at the end! So perhaps consider adding a line of text on the website about the option to tip guides, because we wanted him to know how much we appreciated him but didn’t think to bring cash on the adventure. (Sorry, Jeff! You rocked!)
Our tour guide was awesome!
Loved our tour guide! He is one of a kind and really made my experience great.
Jeff the tour guide was fun and very knowledgeable!
Awesome guide. Took plenty of time to talk and was extremely sociable and approachable with questions
We had an amazing time on our sunset bat tour. We were not very experienced on a kayak and we had a bit of a rocky start when my friend was worried about getting on the kayak. But Jeff was calm and reassuring which helped make her comfortable enough to try again. Once we were on, we were ready to head out. Jeff was very informative about the history of the bats, the bridge, and Austin. Watching the bats fly was magical and doing it on the water was surreal. I was unsure about kayaking at night, but found it peaceful and easier than I expected once my eyes adjusted. I would definitely do another bat tour and would love to try the downtown Austin tour as well. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to coming back to Congress Avenue Kayak the next time in Austin.
The guide was great me and my wife had alot of fun
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable
Great tour, wonderful guide. Highly recommend.
Great guide. I've seen the bats from yhe ground and from the bridge. It was best from the water!
