Drawn by the allure of Ecuadorian wines and the promise of a gastronomic adventure, I embarked on the Wine Tasting Experience that promised to bring the vineyard to the city.

The journey began with a challenge that many travelers might find daunting. The taxi system in Guayaquil, as I quickly learned, is not without its quirks. Despite hailing a taxi from a reputable hotel, the driver struggled to find the location of the winery. It was a reminder of the importance of patience and adaptability when traveling. After a two-hour odyssey through the bustling streets of Guayaquil, we finally arrived, thanks to the guidance of a gracious host, Ricardo, who ensured our table was waiting.

A Symphony of Flavors

Upon arrival, the modern and clean environment of the winery was a welcome sight. The evening unfolded with a three-course dinner that was nothing short of a symphony of flavors. Each dish was a testament to Ecuador’s rich culinary heritage, starting with a seafood ceviche appetizer that danced on the palate with its fresh and vibrant flavors.
