Really recommended - Everything was planned to the detail and even offer extras activities just because you were interested in something específico. For example, we are into bird observation and the guide was always paying attention to guide us to see the birds and other animals. The food was delicious and with an amazonic taste. And the places, the river, the pictograms , the landscape were just amazing. Really good experience overall.

Amazing Experience in Guaviare - Excellent experience, the destination is highly recommended, don't pay attention to the news, it is an extremely quiet and hospitable town, the natural settings are spectacular and very worth it, and the agency is very good, the guides are friendly and they fulfill everything they inform you about.

An Unforgettable Adventure with GeoTours Guaviare - This is not a tour for everyone, and that is exactly what makes it so special. If you are looking to venture far off the beaten path to a place few travelers ever experience, GeoTours Guaviare will reward you with landscapes unlike anything you have ever seen. From towering ancient rock formations and fascinating indigenous pictographs to crystal clear colorful rivers, every day felt like stepping into Jurassic Park or Jumanji. The organization, hospitality, and attention to detail from the entire team were outstanding and made this one of the best trips I have ever taken. Our stay at La Herradura was the highlight of the trip. It is truly a magical place surrounded by nature, filled with an incredible diversity of birds, playful monkeys, and breathtaking sunsets over the lagoon. After each day of adventure, returning there felt like coming home. Milton and Laura clearly have a genuine passion for sharing their homeland with visitors. Their pride in Guaviare, its culture, and its natural beauty shines through in everything they do. They treat every location with respect and inspire visitors to appreciate this remarkable region in the same way. This is a real adventure. Expect challenging hikes, remote locations, and days that push you outside your comfort zone, but every step is absolutely worth it. The food was excellent, fresh, and prepared with great care throughout the trip. Perhaps most importantly, Milton and Laura are working tirelessly to change people’s perception of Guaviare through responsible tourism. Do not let outdated or negative publicity keep you from discovering one of Colombia’s greatest hidden treasures. At no point during our journey did we feel unsafe or in danger. On the contrary, we felt completely cared for and supported by the GeoTours team every step of the way. If you love authentic travel, untouched nature, and unforgettable adventures, I cannot recommend GeoTours Guaviare highly enough. This is an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.

A wonderful adventure in nature - My 5-day trip to Guaviare was simply unique. My two guides, Christian and Milton, gave me wonderful insights into the unique natural landscape with its flora and fauna, as well as its impressive history. After hiking in the hot, humid climate, swimming in various natural spots was incredibly invigorating and refreshing. Anyone who wants to combine nature, history, and adventure will definitely find themselves in the right place here! I will definitely be back! Many thanks again, and don't get eaten by a jaguar! 😉

I simply recommend it to those who are interested in knowing and experiencing magical moments - It is simply a wonderful adventure; the rock art, the river of colors, the food, and swimming with dolphins is magical... The guides were very attentive to me and ensuring I was well was incredible... they were attentive to me from the moment I left Bogotá and took care of me on the bus back... Some very kind little people with a unique charisma.... Thank you very much..... I am very grateful for the experience

Amazing tour in the stunning El Guaviare with an amazing and knowledgable guide and super well organised! - I did the 5 days, 4 nights tour including Ruta Orion, Ruta Islandia, Las Damas de Nare, Ruta Rupestre y Ruta Rocosa. Eventhough in the beginning I thought it was a pity that I couldn't attent a grouptour, because of low season, in the end I was really happy about all the time and attention I got to ask all of my questions and to get to know much more in detail the ins and outs of the region. José Javier García was the guide and he has so much knowledge about the amazing nature, birds, local political situation, plants etc what made the tour super interesting and fun. Because he's also a super social and fun person to be with. I visited amazing stunning and very different ecosystems and had amazing views. It's really a variety of nature and the hikes are really doable. The included food is amazing everywhere and the people are overall super friendly and happy that more people are visiting the region. The Nukak Ecolodge was one of the amazing stays I ever stayed, considering the direct surroundings. It is breathttaking the lake infront of the lodge and the beautifull green surroundings with monkeys everywhere and stunning birds! The rooms itself not so interesting, and hot (no airco, with a van though), but the location all made it superb. I also visited different community projects which gave me a better understanding of the past of the region and how former peasants in coca production, decided to change career after the Peace Accord was signed in 2016. Really inspiring and great to contribute to such projects and to invest in sustainable tourism instead of the damaging highly unsustainable mass tourism sector! You can see directly to which people the money is spend and they are all families and local small businesses. Loved it! And this is from now on one of new favorite regions of Colombia and I will definitely come back to do more tours!

Much disorganization, little clarity - Extremely chaotic. To increase their profits, they try to merge groups of travelers, making last-minute changes. We have had to argue vigorously several times about the implementation of the agreed programme. It's all well and good that the schedule is flexible, but ours changed all the time without being told, and sometimes at eight in the evening we didn't know what hike we were going to do the next day. In five days, five guides changed us; some were very good, others were not. They convinced us to pay a supplement to reach the dolphin lagoon by boat instead of by car "so it takes you an hour and a half instead of three hours"; in fact the boat took more than 3 hours to go and 4 to come back, a nightmare... and they didn't even give us the money back. One day they sent us with the guidance of another agency, Selvadentro, which we lost better. I advise those who want to visit Guaviare not to contact Geotours, nor Awake (which subcontracts to Geotours), but Selvaadentro or, even better, to book an accommodation independently and contact the guides independently once you arrive on site: there are many available, you can choose the one you prefer and spend much less!
