Fantastic tour and operator! - Thank you to Gelver and Fidias for a terrific private sunrise tour of Tikal! As guide and driver they were excellent - incredibly knowledgable about the archeological site, the Maya, flora and fauna. The tour began before we even left our hotel driveway with an explanation of the constellations and how they impacted the placement of the site's buildings. Gelver's English was terrific for the non- Spanish speakers in our family. Getting to Temple IV well before sunrise gave us an amazing view of the stars before most tourists arrived. After sunrise we had a full tour of the rest of the site - really terrific and fascinating. Cannot recommend these folks highly enough!

Unforgettable experience - We were very happy with how professional and knowledgeable our guide, Antonio was. He was funny and really brought the Mayan culture to life for us. We would highly recommend joining the tour for a personal and unforgettable experience. The driver, Anibal was on time and very courteous. Anibal didn’t just prepare water, he prepared multiple drink options that were all thoughtfully put in a cooler so we would have access to cold drinks. We really appreciated the both of them for this wonderful tour.

My family and I (a group of three) wish to express our appreciation for Mr. Omar A. Elmer, an exemplary and highly commendable tour guide. Mr. Elmer’s friendly, proficient, and experienced presentation of the views vividly brought to life a world concealed for centuries. His commentary highlighted not only the architectural and archaeological significance of the ruins but also intriguing insights into the dynastic rules that influenced the everyday lives of the subjects associated with the Mayan royal court. Mr. Omar meticulously planned our day at the site within the rainforest. The tour was conducted efficiently, minimizing time wastage while allowing sufficient rest periods and the enjoyment of delicious local snacks. For the sunrise tour, he met us at the park entrance as previously arranged, assisted us with the tickets, and accompanied us through the forest to the ruins, identifying endemic flora and fauna. Our first destination was Temple IV, which was the site of the sunrise tour. Under Mr. Omar’s guidance, we visited most of the pyramids (temples). Two of our group ascended nearly all the pyramids, some accompanied by Mr. Omar. The tour concluded in the central plaza, where we enjoyed a magnificent view of multiple temples and other structures from an elevated vantage point. We ended our tour with a traditional breakfast at a hotel at the base of the park. Mr. Omar distinguished himself as a gracious and highly knowledgeable guide, well-versed in the Mayan ruins, history, and forest habitat. As nature enthusiasts, we appreciated his insights into the local flora and fauna, including attempts to observe elusive creatures such as jaguars (though, regrettably, without success in sightings). One of us saw and photographed two toucans perched on a tree—a treat! We wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Omar A. Elmer as an exceptional tour guide for anyone visiting Tikal. We sincerely thank Mr. Elmer for providing such a memorable experience!

Elmer was not only the best guide we have ever had but such an amazing human. With so much knowledge to share. - Elmer was not only the best guide we have ever had but he is a wonderful human. He has so much knowledge to share and is passionate about everything Mayan. He was kind and considerate and we loved spending 6 hours with him!! Highly highly recommend.

Professional, worth the money, personal attention, safe. - I’ve traveled to Tikal maybe 10 times with students and a guide, but this was the first time I traveled alone with a friend and hired a private guide for the sunrise tour. Both our tour guide, Elmer, and driver, Fidias, were professional in every way. During our tour, Elmer shared information that I had not learned from other tour guides and followed our pace. Plenty of water was provided during the tour, and we had a great lunch afterward on our way back to Flores. I asked about the company and learned that Elmer had started it and built it out with friends and colleagues. I will gladly book another trip with VIP tours.

Tikal at Sunrise is a must - This was an incredible experience. Waiting for the sunrise sitting on a Piramyd, was fantastic. The rest of the visit was very interesting. Our Guide was very gentle and very knowledgeable. Transportation was perfect, and the stop for a meal at the end of the tour was most welcomed.

Excellent trip - Excellent trip! Elmer was great, very knowledgeable and kind! Highly recommend doing this trip, it is worth it! We enjoyed the cultural trip, as well as seeing some wonderful biodiversity and tasting great local food!

We had a wonderful... - We had a wonderful experience on this tour! Orlando was on time to pick us up at our hotel and shared alot of information about the Mayan culture along the way. The sunrise tour was so worth it with a personal guide! We learned so much more than we ever would, if we traveled through Tikal on our own. The sunrise at the top was stunning and an adventure we'll never forget!

Wonderful private tour of Tikal by Tikal Go - We had a full private day tour of Tikal with Roel from Tikal Go. First we were picked up at the airport and after we rested a bit at their office in Flores, we went and toured Lake Peten Itza and continued the day with a stop and we toured Le Reserva Natural in lake Peten where we saw an array of animals that were rescued by this organization. It was fun and very informative visit. Then we went back to the boat and came back to Flores to get lunch. After lunch we were picked up, taken back to the office and waited for our driver Antonio to drive us to Tikal National Park where we spent the night at the Jungle Lodge. The next morning after breakfast, Roel came and met with us to start our tour of Tikal. Tikal was very impressive. Roel was the best tour guide we could have asked for. He was fun to be with, he was a world of knowledge and we walked at our own pace. We had the most beautiful day! In the early afternoon we stopped for lunch at the restaurant inside the park and the food was delicious! It was a complete meal including a beverage and dessert too. Alcohol was not included. I highly recommed Roel for anyone that is going to Tikal with TikalGo. He is amazing!
