Tikal Exclusive Tour Was Fabulous - My husband and I took the Tikal Exclusive Tour with Tikal Go in October and highly recommend it! We had the undivided attention of our knowledgeable guide Roel, who filled us in on the fascinating history of Tikal and the ancient Mayans. My husband, as a former history teacher, said he loved “nerding out” and having all his questions answered. Roel also provided us with a window into modern Guatemala as he told us of his people on our drive to Tikal. Roel was kind and patient and sensitive to our needs. (My husband has had foot issues that have impacted his mobility, and I have asthma). Once at the Tikal grounds, Roel arranged for us to take a truck ride to the temples rather than walk the long, relatively steep hill to the site. That was perfect for us to preserve our energy for later exploration! Our day was capped off with a delicious lunch and the roar of howler monkeys in the jungle. All in all, it was a perfect day!

Tikal is a MUST SEE - An Absolutely Extraordinary Experience! - This all-day tour to Tikal was beyond incredible - easily one of the most amazing experiences of my entire trip! The logistics were flawlessly organized from start to finish. Transportation, including airport pick-up and drop-off, flight tickets, and communication before, during, and after the tour, was absolutely A+. Everything ran like clockwork. I opted for the breakfast add-on, and it was well worth it - delicious food served by friendly, professional staff in a lovely setting. But I have to talk about our guide, Roel, who was absolutely FANTASTIC! He didn't just meet expectations - he went ABOVE AND BEYOND in every possible way. His knowledge was extraordinary. At each location throughout the park, he shared fascinating insights about the pyramids and structures, the ancient Maya people who built them, the age of the buildings, historical facts about daily life in ancient times, and so much more. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, both current and historical, and explained how the climate has affected the region both then and now. Roel's enthusiasm, expertise, and genuine warmth made him an absolute joy to spend the day with. Combined with the breathtaking historical structures and pyramids themselves, he made this experience truly unforgettable. If you're visiting Guatemala, Tikal is an ABSOLUTE MUST, and you need Roel as your guide. Do not miss this tour - it's perfection!

Don't hesitate to do it! It was very bearable! - FANTASTIC experience. All punctual, correct, done perfectly!! The drivers, excellent. Our guide, Melvin, was super friendly, experienced, helpful and polite. Although it is a long day, it can be done perfectly and is NOT as difficult to force as they say. I highly recommend it! Take this EXCLUSIVE tour that allows you to manage your times, take care of you until the last minute. Flowers are worth a few hours, Tikal will leave you speechless. More time is not necessary.

Just an incredible, amazing place - Tikal is simply amazing. It was extraordinary arriving at 4:30 am and walking the tracks when it was dark, hearing the howler monkeys. The sun rise is often a no-show, and honestly, I'm not sure if it is really worth it. However, the Tikal itself is incredible. We were fortunate enough to have a guide (Lloyd) who took us around the back ways, avoiding crowds, and saving the most jaw-dropping views until last. Easily 10/10

Excellent experience with a large company - The plan went perfectly. We had transfers from the hotel to the airport, before sending us tickets, contact from previous days with the people who were going to be our guides. The guide in tikal used a lot of patience given that we were with a baby and the food inside tikal was excellent. The feedback I have is positive, everyone.

Good for customized personal experience - My wife and I wanted a private tour so we could go at our own pace because we had a baby with us. Tikal Go had set us up with Donald who was a master of knowledge when it came to history, architecture, flora, fauna, and geography. He was able to deliver information and education in bite-size doses so as to not overwhelm us. He also set the pace so we could visit less popular but more magical sections of the park. It was obvious that he knew the area well, because he had a good cadence between hiking and breaks. He also knew which areas to let us explore independently and which areas we needed someone with a trained eye to point things out. My wife and I both feel like if we got someone else as a guide we would have gotten a completely different experience. If you are flexible with time, I implore you to tell Tikal Go that you are willing to wait for Donald to be available. Aside from the guide, the tour company is great, and had set up transfers to and from our b&b as well as meals on-site.

Wonderful personalized tour of Tikal! - Great tour! Our guide was not only knowledgable about the history and culture of the Mayans-- He also knew alot about the native animals. As a birder, I was thrilled when he helped spot and identify birds!! So great!! We had plenty of time to climb the temples and enjoy the views! -- and taking care of lunch for us was another bonus. It was a great trip!!
