Begin your adventure at the Caldeirão Dam Parking Park. Ascend to the Miradouro do Mocho Real for a spectacular view… The adventure is just beginning! A significant challenge lies ahead! Descend approximately five hundred wooden steps into the Mondego Valley, where the magnificent Caldeirão Falls showcase their unique beauty. After crossing the historic Mizarela Bridge and admiring the natural sculptures, continue past the old factories and discover the story of Papa’s blanket. Visit the Pateiro Hydroelectric Power Station, the oldest in Guarda, and learn about the “black gold” exploration. Traverse suspended bridges and explore the mills in Ribeira dos Moinhos. Conclude your journey at the “Videmonte” park and refresh in the Mondego waters, so remember to bring a swimsuit.
