• Yuexiu Park - Following breakfast, the driver and guide will collect guests from their hotel at 9:00 am for a transfer to Yuexiu Park. This is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou, spanning 860,000 square meters (212.5 acres). It features three artificial lakes and seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain, which is how it got its name. Visitors can explore the Five-Ram Sculpture and Zhenhai Tower within the park.
• Chen Clan Ancestral Hall-Folk Craft Museum - After visiting Yuexiu Park, guests will be transferred to The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. This academic temple was constructed by the 72 Chen clans in 1894 during the Qing Dynasty to accommodate and prepare their juniors for the imperial examinations. The Academy of Chen Clan showcases traditional Canton architecture and is renowned for its intricate decorations found inside and outside the halls, as well as on beams, ridges, walls, and columns. It houses an extensive collection of wood, stone, and brick carvings, along with pottery, plaster, and iron engravings.
• Shamian Island - Next, guests will take a private car to Shamian Island to explore the area known for its European architectural style, which was a former British and French colony 100 years ago. The guide will lead guests to a local restaurant to enjoy delicious Cantonese Dim Sum for lunch.
• Bright Filial Piety Temple (Guangxiao Si) - After lunch, the tour will proceed to Guangxiao Temple, located at the north end of Guangxiao Road. Also known as Bright Filial Piety Temple or Guangxiaosi, it is one of the largest and most significant temples in China, with a history of over 1,700 years. It is famously said that ‘The Guangxiao Temple existed before the birth of Guangzhou City’. In 1961, it was recognized by the State Council as a Key National Cultural Preservation Site.
