Zhangjiajie: Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Ten-Mile-Gallery

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - Today, guests will drive to Zhangjiajie National Park to enjoy breathtaking views via a super elevator. This elevator takes just 1.58 seconds to transport visitors from the base to the top of Yuanjiajie, showcasing incredible and stunning vistas. Experience the awe-inspiring heaven and earth pillar, the inspiration for the mountains in the movie AVATAR directed by James Cameron, from the Summit Sightseeing Platform.

Tianzi Mountain - Next, guests will visit Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, an ideal spot for panoramic photography. Known as ‘the Monarch of the Peak Forest’, Tianzi Mountain boasts four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, the Rays of Sunshine, and the Snow in winter.

Later, guests will explore Shilihualang (10-Mile-Gallery). Travel one way by electric train and return on foot, a journey of about 30 minutes.

Zhangjiajie: Huangshizhai, Golden Whip Brook, Yellow Dragon Cave

Huangshizhai - Today, guests will travel to Huangshizhai, where they will take a cable car up the mountain to see the impressive rock formations. Many monkeys inhabit Huangshizhai, so it’s advisable to maintain a safe distance.

Golden Whip Brook - The 5.7km path along the brook in the valley offers a fantastic hiking route to admire the mountains, or guests can take a shorter walk to view the highest summit in Zhangjiajie, Jingguang Summit (380m).

Yellow Dragon Cave - This cave stretches 13km with four levels, featuring an underground river, waterfall, halls, pools, stalagmites, and limestone formations. Guests will explore the vast cave and enjoy the colorful rocks with a local guide.

Departure from Zhangjiajie after Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Guests will drive to Tianmen Mountain and walk along the road leading to the Gateway of Heaven. The glass walkway adds a unique touch. They will take the Tianmen Mountain Cableway to explore Tongtian Avenue (a way to Heaven), Tianmen Cave (Heaven Gateway), Tianmen Temple, Tianmen glass walkway, Ghost-valley plank road, and Yunmeng Fairy Summit. A small cable will connect to the main cable, then guests will descend via the world’s longest cableway, measuring 7455 meters in length and 1518 meters in elevation.

(The round-trip of the main cable and the upper way for the small cable are included. Opting for a round-trip small cable car will result in missing some sights.)

Afterwards, guests will be transferred to Zhangjiajie Airport to catch their flight to the next destination. The tour concludes. (Please book an afternoon flight.)

Baofeng Lake - If time allows, guests will visit the beautiful Baofeng Lake, part of Zhangjiajie National Park. They will take a boat ride to admire the mountains and lake with a local guide.

This four-day tour offers the opportunity to explore nearly all the significant attractions of the breathtaking Zhangjiajie National Geopark and its surrounding areas. Participants will ascend the scenic Tianmen Gateway and Tianzi Mountain to see the mountain that inspired the movie AVATAR, as well as visit Baofeng Lake, Yuanjiajie, Huangshizhai, and more.
