There are 560 buildings combining Chinese and Western styles on 22 Arcade Building Streets, once home to over 1,500 shops.
The Wuzhou arcade buildings feature representative Chinese architectural elements like Catherine Wheel, tile carving, and memorial archways. The second floors have iron rings and water gates, marking Wuzhou as a wet city.

Xiaohuang Village - Afterward, transfer to Yintan Dong village in Congjiang, similar to Xiaohuang village. Yintan Dong village, about 20 kilometers from Congjiang, is a representative Dong village in Guizhou, showcasing Dong buildings and daily life. Although the houses are relatively recent (50-100 years old), they adhere to Dong building rules. The natural environment, houses, drum towers, and pavilions differ significantly from Western styles. The village’s drum tower, 21 feet high, stands in the center. Travelers feel immersed in time amidst well-preserved buildings.
Kaili - Then, transfer to Congjiang, stopping at Shiqiao village en route. Shiqiao Miao Village, located about 2.5 km southeast of Danzhai County, maintains a self-sufficient lifestyle. The village is renowned for traditional paper-making, making it an ideal place for travelers, especially calligraphers, to experience and learn the craft.
Currently, Shiqiao Miao village has over 300 households with a population of more than 1,300. About 60 households engage in paper-making, showcasing the Miao people’s expertise.

Chongsheng Three Pagodas - Next, visit the Three Pagodas, facing Erhai Lake. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple in Dali form a tripartite confrontation with a large pagoda and two smaller ones. As one of South China’s oldest and most magnificent architectures, it symbolizes Yunnan Province’s ancient history and culture. Built amid the former Chongsheng Temple by the Nanzhao Kingdom, a local regime of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the pagodas were named after the temple. Although the temple was damaged in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the pagodas survived numerous natural disasters and manmade incidents. Designated as an important heritage site in 1961, the Three Pagodas were inscribed as an AAAAA grade scenic area in 2011.

Spruce Meadow, accessible by cable car, offers a lower altitude (3,300M) and fewer visitors than Glacier Park, along with a beautiful view.

Blue Moon Valley - Afterwards, take a private car to White Water River (Blue Moon Valley). The Blue Moon Valley is a strikingly blue river meandering through a lush valley of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. From a distance, it resembles a blue crescent moon at the mountain’s foot, hence its beautiful name. However, the river’s color changes with the weather. If it rains, the white mud and limestone rubble at the riverbed swirl up, turning the water as white as milk. The local Naxi people call it White Water River (Baishui River).

Walk 15-20 minutes along the plank road to the viewing platform on the valley floor. The Jinsha River’s strong currents roar through the narrow valley, with waves slapping against the rocks. Capture this spectacular view with your camera. At the narrowest point, a 13-meter (43-foot) high rock sits in the river’s middle, splitting the torrents into two branches. The surging waves crash against the rock with a tremendous roar. A special viewing platform allows visitors to fully appreciate this impressive scenery and take pictures.
Black Dragon Pond Park - Afterwards, take a private car to Black Dragon Pond Park. Here, enjoy a panoramic view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This park is Lijiang’s landmark. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China for its exquisite beauty. Its surroundings are green with grass and shaded by swaying willow trees. Baisha Ancient Town - Next, visit Baisha village to see Dongba pictograms, mural paintings in Dabaoji Palace, and the ‘ten thousand camellia blossoms’ tree.
Baisha, meaning ‘white sands,’ was the first settlement of the Naxi people after migrating south from the Tibetan plateau. It was once the political, commercial, and cultural center of the powerful Naxi Kingdom. The region became part of the Yuan Empire in the late thirteenth century. The Mu family, which administered Lijiang from the late fourteenth to the early eighteenth century, originated in Baisha. The area also played a significant role in the strategic commercial network known as the Tea Horse Road.
Shuhe Ancient Town - After lunch, enjoy a leisurely walk in Shuhe Ancient Town.
Shuhe, or ‘Shaowu’ in Naxi language, means the village at the foot of the high mountain. In the past, a high mountain named Jubao stood behind the village, giving it its name. Shuhe Ancient Town is located 4 km northwest of Lijiang Ancient Town. Its central part covers about 5 square kilometers with a population of around 3,000. In 1997, Shuhe was recognized as an important part of Lijiang Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

Lijiang - On this day, your driver will pick you up at your hotel in Lijiang. You’ll be driven about 200 kilometers (4-5 hours) on a spectacular mountain road to visit the mysterious Lugu Lake, situated on the border of Yunnan Province and Sichuan Province. Lugu Lake is called the mother lake by Mosuo people, and this land is considered “the Kingdom of Women” and “Home of the Matriarchal Tribe.”
Lugu Lake - Upon arrival, check in at your hotel first. After a short rest, take a canoe to sail leisurely on the tranquil lake, appreciate the mirror-like lake view, enjoy the soft breeze, and visit one of Lugu Lake’s three magical islands - Liwubi Island. Constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple during the Ming Dynasty, it was originally named Hui Zong Hall, intending to gather Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. In the early Qing Dynasty, Hui Zong Hall was moved to its current location and rebuilt. In 1703, it was renamed “Bao Guo,” meaning “serve the nation.”
Mount Emei (Emeishan) - After visiting Baoguo Temple, take a shuttle bus to Leidongping bus station, then hike about 30 minutes to Jieyingting Cableway Station. Take the cableway to the top of Emeishan – Golden Summit.

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Today, drive to Chengdu, stopping at the Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. Carved from Lingyun Shan cliffs, it was intended to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath it. Chengdu - In the morning, your driver will meet you at 9:00 AM at your Chengdu hotel and transfer you to Mount Qingcheng, an 80-minute drive covering 65 km.
Mount Qingcheng - First, visit Mt. Qingcheng, divided into Front Mountain and Back Mountain. The Front Mountain is the main part of Mount Qingcheng Scenic Area, covering about 15 square kilometers. The Back Mountain covers about 100 square kilometers. Clear streams, verdant woods, and magnificent peaks make the Back Mountain very attractive. In winter, it is cold, but in summer, it is cool, making Mount Qingcheng a popular summer resort.
The Front Mountain features many cultural relics and historic sites, with beautiful scenery. Main attractions include Natural Drawing, Jianfu Palace, Tianshi Cave, Chaoyang Cave, and Shangqing Palace. The Back Mountain’s main attractions are Golden Cliff and Sky Storehouse, Goddess Cave, Clouds Caves, and View of Platform Bridge.
Dujiangyan Irrigation System - Next, visit the Dujiangyan Ancient Irrigation System, a 30-minute drive away. About 2,200 years ago, Chengdu faced frequent floods from the Minjiang River. To prevent flooding, Shu state’s local official Li Bing and his son constructed an irrigation system on the river. After extensive study and years of hard work by locals, the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project was completed. Today, it still plays a crucial role in flood control, irrigation, and providing water resources for over 50 cities in Sichuan province.
