- Li River - Start your day bright and early as you are picked up from your hotel and taken to the Zhujiang Pier. From there, embark on a delightful Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo aboard our comfortable boat.
Relax on the boat and soak in the breathtaking scenery of the Li River. Glide along the water, surrounded by hills and rugged nature. Enjoy the picturesque landscape, dip your toes into the crystal-clear water, observe buffalos swimming or grazing on water weeds, and watch fishermen casting their nets.
Along the riverbanks, admire stunning peaks, bamboo and rice fields, and tranquil rural villages. Upon arrival in Yangshuo town, take a short rest before beginning the Yangshuo sightseeing tour.
- Yangti Dyke - Yangdi Village is situated on the west bank of the Li River, about 50km (31 miles) from Guilin, and 40km (25 miles) north of Yangshuo County. Behind the village is a hill with twin peaks resembling two sheep hooves hanging upside down, giving the village its name Yangdi, which harmonizes with ‘Yangti’, the Chinese term for ‘sheep hooves’.
- Jiuma Mountain - Mural Hill (Jiuma Mountain), also known as Nine Horses Fresco Hill, is a must-see attraction when visiting the Li River. Located on the west bank of the Li River, about 60 km (37 miles) from Guilin and near Xingping Town, it features a large, steep stone cliff resembling a painted screen. With five peaks and weathered rocks in yellow, white, black, grey, and green, the cliff face looks like a mural with images of nine horses in various poses.
- Xianggong Mountain - Initially, Xianggong Mountain was a little-known karst hill on the west bank of the Li River in Yangshuo County of Guilin. A few years ago, a local photographer captured images from the mountain’s summit and won a bronze prize in an international photography contest, catapulting Xianggong Mountain to fame. It has since become a popular destination for photography enthusiasts.
- Xingping Fishing Village - In ancient times, Xingping Town was the largest town along the Li River, located 63 km (39 miles) from Guilin and 25 km (15.5 miles) from Yangshuo, on the east bank of the river. The town is a beautiful place, surrounded by captivating scenery. Both Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal are part of this scenic area.
- Xingping Fishing Village - Situated on the east bank of the Li River upstream from Yangshuo, this fishing village boasts a history of over 500 years. Established during the Ming Dynasty in 1506, the village is rich in typical Lingnan or southeastern Chinese provincial culture.
There are 48 traditional residences that have been remarkably well-preserved over the years. These residences feature blue brickwork, black tiles, sloping roofs, horse head walls, cornices, and carved windows. The houses are classic examples of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynastic architecture.
- West Street - After the river cruise, visit Yangshuo’s West Street for 30 minutes.
West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo, with a history spanning over 1,400 years. Located in the heart of Yangshuo County, the street has become, since the 1980s, a hub of eastern and western culture and the largest ‘foreign language center’ in China. It is the most vibrant district in Yangshuo, attracting approximately 100,000 foreigners annually for travel or advanced studies. Visitors are drawn to West Street by its unique cultural blend.
West Street is 517 meters (1,696 feet) long and 8 meters (26 feet) wide, winding in an ‘S’ shape. Completely paved with marble, it exemplifies a southern China street. It is highly admired by foreigners for its simple style and courtyard-like setting. There is a saying that ‘half is village while the other half is stores’.
- Yangshuo Park - Yangshuo Park is located in Yangshuo, covering an area of 230 thousand sq m (271 thousand sq yd). The park features both large and small gates, carved with the park’s name in Chinese by renowned calligraphers. The park is filled with osmanthus trees and bamboos, offering a peaceful and secluded environment for visitors. Double Moon Stream flows through the park, which is surrounded by stunning mountains. Many locals exercise and play Chinese chess in the park.
- Yulong River - Yulong River, also known as Little Li River, originates in Lingui County in Yangshuo. The river stretches about 43 kilometers (26 miles) long, with a drainage area of approximately 158 square kilometers (39,043 acres). The section from Yulong Bridge in Baisha Town to Gongnong Bridge near Big Banyan Tree along the Ten-Mile Gallery is known as the Yulong River Scenic Area, featuring spectacular views along each riverbank.
- Yulong Bridge - The Chinese term ‘Yulong’ means ‘meeting a dragon’. According to local legend, a dragon from the East Sea wandered across the Yulong River and, captivated by the beautiful landscape, decided to stay forever. Villagers living along the riverbank reportedly saw the dragon several times, leading to the river’s name.
