You must have this tour in Guanajuato ! - I had an absolutely amazing experience exploring Guanajuato with Mariana — without exaggeration, she is the best tour guide I have ever met. What sets her apart is that she doesn’t just recite historical facts or timelines. She brings history to life. Instead of simply telling you what happened, she dives into the motivations behind historical figures — what they feared, what they believed in, what they were trying to protect or transform. It turns monuments into human stories and makes the city feel layered, complex, and alive. Mariana also creates space for thoughtful discussion. Our conversations went beyond colonial architecture and independence heroes — she was open, nuanced, and insightful when sharing perspectives on Mexico’s current political and social realities. It never felt one-sided or preachy; it felt like an intelligent exchange. That combination of knowledge, critical thinking, and authenticity is rare. Guanajuato is already beautiful, but with Mariana, it becomes meaningful. If you’re looking for a tour that challenges you to think, invites you to feel, and helps you truly understand the city rather than just see it — Mariana is the guide you want. Highly, highly recommended.

You have to do this tour! - We did this our first day in Guanajuato. This was a fantastic way to get oriented to the city. Mariana was an absolutely amazing tour guide! As we walked around, she shared so much about the history & culture of Guanajuato. She also shared her favorite spots to eat and drink which was super helpful to include in our vacation here. 100% recommend this tour and Mariana!

A wonderful experience. Mariana is amazing! - Mariana was so awesome. Every time I travel I think of reading up on local history but never have the time. She packed in so much history and tied it to physical landmarks and symbology. She touched on viceroyalty history, mx independence, mining history, us relations, the local university, Cervantes and Diego Rivera. Recommended several local places for food and coffee avoiding touristy places and bending toward quality local authenticity (and we were able to try a few later and they were great.) Got the lowdown on subterranean streets and tunnels as well. She was very accomodating to questions and alterations but we were happy to just follow her normal itinerary. She was so cool. We already miss you mi prima! Chris and Erin N.

Mariana taught us to appreciate the culture history & personality of Guanaquato, and made us feel like family - Mariana was fantastic guide. She opened our eyes to see & understand the history. Traditions & culture of Guanaquato. We could have missed so much..She took us to so many historical places. . Also she described ,& showed us the levels of the city resulting from each flood, the architecture & more. We would have missed so much without having this tour. She answered all our questions.we are eager to see more as a result.
