Fantastic hiking experience - Fantastic hike to the peak of one of the hills. Raul was a wonderful guide and happily tolerated my broken attempts to improve my Spanish while enjoying the wilderness. Highly recommend.

Amazing hike to La Bufa Guanajuato - Raul guided us through an unforgettable hike to La Bufa. He took us through the back side of the mountain which was green and very peaceful. He knew the whole area very well, was cordial, informative, and took pictures and videos and sent them to us after the hike. He provided some snacks too. The view of Guanajuato from the top of La Bufa was amazing. Highly recommended!

Breathtaking hike to La Bufa - My husband and I did the hike to La Bufa in the mountains surrounding Guanajuato. The experience was outstanding from start to finish—and very reasonably priced! Raúl, the tour company owner, communicated clearly, promptly, and professionally. He gave us the courtesy of accepting written confirmation with requiring a deposit in advance. He picked us up right at the time we agreed on and brought us to the trail head where his sister and business partner, Laura, was waiting to act as our guide. They provided us with hiking poles (a must for this kind of hike) and water. Raúl described what level of difficulty to expect during the hike. Laura was a delight, extremely personable, patient, knowledgeable, and in tune with our needs. She really made us feel comfortable on this somewhat challenging hike. She is a guide on par with guides I’ve hiked with in the Himalayas, southern Rockies, and Hunza Valley! I can’t wait to come back and hike with Laura again! For me, this hike was the highlight of this trip to Mexico! A couple of small constructive comments . Clients are required to sign a release form in case of any mishap. There is a fee of 1000 pesos (about US $50–very reasonable) if something happens. Raúl sent this form minutes before we left. It would have been better if he had sent it earlier. Also, the verbal communication was in Spanish (part of the fun for me because I am a Spanish speaker), so it’s advisable to have a Spanish speaker in your group. Overall, I recommend Raúl’s company very highly! In addition to outdoor adventures, they also offer cultural and gastronomic tours. Mil gracias a Raúl y Laura por una experiencia excelente!

Guanajuato hike - Great hike with incredible views. The guide was very knowledge and knew the route like the back of his hand. A must do for anyone visiting Guanajuato.

Very recommended!!! Doo it! - Raul was amazing!!! We booked the same morning and not only did he come through but gave us a 'special' tour as we like climbing and he took us to the most exciting routes after testing and trusting our abilities 😁. He always kept it safe and taught us many things along the way, to top it off, he took the best pictures of the hike. So so happy!

Wonderful Hike around El Cerro de La Bufa - Hiking with Raul and Susan (Turismo Alternativo En Guanajuato) was absolutely amazing. They picked us up at our agreed upon spot at 8:30am and we drove a few minutes to the hiking parking area. The hike was fantastic and we asked a lot questions along the way, which both Raul and Susan answered for us. We would definitely recommend Raul and Susan's company for a safe, well planned, fun adventure!

Rewarded with Beautiful Views After a Challenging Hike - We recently had the opportunity to hike this glorious trail. While the 5+ mile trail is moderate to strenuous, Raul is an excellent and knowledgeable guide who made us feel comfortable and secure during the hike.
