overall great experience - Our family had a great experience with Pablo. He was knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating with our 7-year-old son. It was amazing to see 2 mommy turtles, a turtle hatching with many cute little turtles making their way to the ocean, and bioluminescence in the sand on the beach. We took a video of the sweet baby turtles; I’m attaching a photo. The only problem was that there was a big group coming after us making a lot of noises, which must have disturbed the mommy turtle trying to dig a nest. She took a long time and couldn’t get it done. We left early due to the commotion.

Excellent guide - Pablo is an excellent guide! We took advantage of his experience to see several turtles including one in the middle of laying. Our tour was private and it was really nice to be accompanied by such a nice guide!

A show I will never forget! - We could only see one turtle but the wait was definitely worth it! We saw him come out of the sea, dig his hole, lay his eggs and bury it all. Very close! In addition, our return to darkness allowed us to see the bioluminescence in the sand! Remember to bring you water, a towel if you have to wait sitting on the beach, and fly oil or suitable clothing.

Unforgettable Turtle Watching Tour at Playa Grande! - Our experience with High Tide Tours Playa Grande was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, informative. Pablo, our guide, is not only a Kind and authentic guy, but also incredibly knowledgeable. He shared so much information with us, and we learned a lot. Right at the beginning of the tour, he confidently assured us that we would see turtles – and he did not disappoint! One of the best moments was witnessing a freshly hatched baby turtle making its way to the ocean. Of course, we maintained a respectful distance to ensure the little one was not disturbed. Pablo’s deep respect and love for nature were evident throughout the entire experience. We also had the privilege of seeing a mother turtle heading back to the sea. Another highlight of this tour was its personal touch. Pablo only takes small groups. Yes, there were other groups on the beach, but we were so glad we chose High Tide Tours, as it felt much more exclusive and informative. On the way to the beach, we even spotted snakes, scorpions, and howler monkeys – making it a true wildlife adventure! Had we had more time at Playa Grande, we would have definitely booked a kayak tour with Pablo as well. Highly recommended - The tour was amazing. The turtles were fascinating to watch. Pablo was very careful not to disturb them unecessarily. I highly recommend this tour, it was a unique experience.

Good experience - Although we weren't able to see any turtles, the beach was an experience. Pablo worked hard to try to find them but it was not guaranteed and off season. Definitely would like to try again and the beach was extremely secluded.

None 🐢🐢 showed up - It's not so likely to see turtles. It costs a lot of money. The beach was also very narrow, where should the eggs be buried??

Uneasy and weird - Felt off from the start. Was contacted the day before and asked to meet at a different location. Drive to location was long and uneasy and my husband and I were both worried about where this guy was taking us. When we got there we walked to a beach where another tour guide was with their guests and our guide left us to scout the area. Turns out he actually left… to two other locations. Left us alone on a dark beach with strangers who we didn’t know. We didn’t know when he was coming back or when. The whole thing was unnerving. Eventually the other guide told us to follow them and our guide would meet us in the parking area. Result, no turtles and a lot of anxiety.
