• Rancho Los 3 Potrillos - The group will gather at 11:00 at the designated meeting point in Guadalajara to depart via provided transportation to the municipality of Chapala. The tour begins with a brief stop at Vicente Fernandez’s ranch and the renowned Vicente Fernández store “Los Tres Potrillos.” Please note that entry to the ranch is complimentary and dependent on the owner’s discretion, so entry cannot be guaranteed.
• Destiladora los Magos - The next stop is a visit to the tequila distillery known as “LOS MAGOS,” where a guided tour will be provided. Participants will learn about the artisanal tequila-making process and enjoy several tastings of tequila and house liquors.
• San Juan Cosala - After sampling some excellent tequilas, the tour proceeds to the Rivera de Chapala, arriving around 2:00 p.m. at the Municipality of San Juan Cosalá. Here, the group will dine at the area’s top seafood restaurant, “MARISCOS DEL CARNAL,” known for its affordable prices. A complimentary drink will be provided to enhance the enjoyment of a boat ride on Mexico’s largest lake.
• Lake Chapala - The tour continues with a catamaran ride, offering a safe and enjoyable experience with music and a lively atmosphere on Mexico’s largest lake. A complimentary drink will be provided. The lake’s vastness is sure to impress!
• Ajijic - After a delightful meal and a tour of Mexico’s largest lake, the group will visit the Magic Town of Ajijic, designated a magical town in 2020. Participants will have free time to explore the town center, its charming cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and extensive boardwalk. Ajijic is a popular destination for international visitors and retirees, with many choosing to make it their home.
• Chapala - The final stop is the town of Chapala, the most iconic in the region as the municipal center. Here, participants will have free time to explore the boardwalk, two piers, and enjoy the “Voladores de Papantla” ritual. Before leaving, be sure to try the delicious charales or carafe snow, both regional specialties. Chapala offers numerous options for purchasing gifts, souvenirs, and postcards at very reasonable prices.
