Wonderful opportunity - beautiful and informative - We had a great day trip with Stefan A. The trip is longer than Viator advertises, so be aware! The trip includes two stops at volcanic sites. We did not get to see any active lava, as it is of course unpredictable. It was still beautiful and extremely unique. There was just the right amount of walking/hiking for us- we are fit people but not extremely outdoorsy, and there were options for a more arduous climb or a gentle stroll. The restaurant stop on the way back has local fish, but also vegetarian options. We learned so much, thank you Stefan!

Perfect day trip & introduction to Iceland - Fantastic guided tour/day trip of Reykjanes Peninsula with guide Dylan who was very knowledgeable. The volcano trek right to the top is moderately hard - was a beautiful day but quite windy and it rocky/unsteady underfoot. Easier walk to the lava fields. Hot springs are amazing! We were ready for fish & chips at Pappa’s in Grindavik! Also bridge over 2 continents has to be seen. A perfect introduction to Iceland if you only have a short time.

Excursion and Great Guide!!! - Excursions at the top!!! Exceptional scenery, a downtime at each location suitable for people taking the excursion, the guide does not rush. The guide is great and besides ours spoke French, thank you to him it was great when we had questions. Stopping to eat also great, we had plenty of time to eat well. Really I recommend this Excursions which promises a little day full of unexpected discoveries.

Volcanic Wonderland - Benedict was such a great guide! He gave us all interesting facts about the volcanic eruptions and even made an extra stop at the continental divide where the tectonic plates are pulling away from each other and making Iceland a little bit bigger every year (2 cm bigger)! The discussion we had about what happened in Grindavík was very enlightening and thankfully, the residents were evacuated before the lava could physically hurt anyone.

Volcano Hike and Grindavík Visit from Reykjavik - Did the tour at the beginning of March and had pretty terrible weather. The hot springs, Grindavík and the sea cliff we visited were still very interesting, but the hike was pretty miserable and a bit dangerous due to the weather - I was surprised that this part of the tour was not scrapped. As the hike is not guided, we also had to wait longer for a few people that overestimated how quickly they could get back to the car. Dylan was a great guide, and still made the experience worthwhile despite the bad weather and my qualms with the hike. I can also recommend to combine the tour with a Sky Lagoon visit, as it is really nice to relax there during sunset after the physical activity; there also is a combination with the Blue Lagoon, but the time between the drop-off there and the last bus transfer back seemed quite short on our tour - this might be better during other months though.

Tripadvisor - dishonesty materialized. - This is perhaps typical of Tripadvisor. You cancel the tour but refuse to pay back the money - or at least give information when and how the money will be refunded. When we are told by the local tour operator in Iceland that the tour did not take place due to bad weather and we want our money back, we get a phone number to the US that we can call. You write: "Tripadvisor LLC is not a booking agency or tour operator. When booking with one of our partners, please check their website to ensure that all relevant charges are disclosed". My question how do you do that?
