- Lake Tuz - Known as the second-largest lake in Turkey, Lake Tuz spans 1,665 square kilometers and ranks among the world’s most expansive hypersaline bodies of water. Situated in Central Anatolia, it lies 105 kilometers northeast of Konya, 150 kilometers south-southeast of Ankara, and 57 kilometers northwest of Aksaray. A complete excursion typically lasts between 5 to 6 hours. The journey begins with our driver collecting you from your accommodation. The drive from Goreme to Salt Lake takes roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes. Sunset is the prime viewing time for the lake. Departure times are set at 2 pm during the winter months and 3 pm in the summer to account for the shorter daylight hours in winter. Visitors have the opportunity to spend 1 to 2 hours at the lake, capturing photos and enjoying the scenery. Occasionally, the presence of birds such as flamingos can enhance the experience.
