Saratli Kirkgoz - Saratli Kirkgoz Underground City is increasingly drawing the interest of tourists visiting Cappadocia, thanks to its secure gates made of millstones, which slide internally and are carved in a manner that is not easily understood by outsiders.

Saratli served as a vital living area during the Roman period. The first Christians sought refuge in the Cappadocia region to escape Roman persecution, constructing the underground city to shield themselves from wars. They coexisted in Saratli, sometimes for a week, sometimes for a month, until the threat subsided. In Saratli, there are security gates made of millstones that slide from the inside and are carved in a way that outsiders cannot comprehend.

Uchisar Castle - The highest and windiest point in Nevşehir, Cappadocia, where you can almost touch the clouds, is Uchisar Castle! Especially near sunset, it’s recommended not to miss the fairy chimneys bathed in the sun’s red glow and the vibrant colors reflected from the valley. Uchisar Castle is also referred to as the “eye of Cappadocia,” likely because it offers views of the entire region, from the snowy peak of Erciyes, Anatolia’s highest mountain, to Mount Hasan. The castle, used for both concealment and defense by the first Christians fleeing Roman persecution, also served as a watchtower during the Seljuk era.

Fairy Chimneys - There is a legend that monks once secluded themselves in this region. While this was merely a rumor before visiting, upon entering the Priests’ Valley, it becomes evident that it is true. This part of Cappadocia is the most serene and peaceful, allowing visitors to sit for hours without speaking.

Göreme Open Air Museum - From the 4th to the 13th century, the Göreme Open Air Museum was a rock settlement that hosted a vibrant monastic life until the 19th century.
In this valley area, churches, chapels, dining halls, and seating areas are carved into the rock formations.
The geometric decorations used in the early Christian period in churches can be seen in the initial paint layers, while later frescoes depict scenes from the Bible and the life of Jesus.
In the Göreme Open Air Museum, visitors can explore the Girls and Boys Monastery, St. Basileus Church, Elmal Church, St. Barbara Church, Yilanli Church, Dark Church, Arikli Church, and Tokali Church.

Sultanhani Kervansarayi - Sultanhanı, constructed by Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I between 1232-1236, underwent significant restoration from 2007 to 2010.
