Begin the day with a visit to Devrent Valley, also known as “Imagination Valley,” renowned for its surreal landscape.
- Avanos - Next, head to Avanos (Venessa), the pottery hub of Cappadocia. This village is located along the Kizilirmak/Red River, named for the red clay it deposits. Observe potters at work using kick wheels, a technique unchanged for generations. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Göreme Open Air Museum.
- Göreme Open Air Museum - After dining at a local restaurant, visit Göreme Open Air Museum. Here, view the best-preserved Byzantine cave wall paintings and frescos from the Iconoclastic period to the end of Seljuk rule. Icons depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments above portraits of church fathers and saints illustrate the Byzantine universe.
- Fairy Chimneys - Explore Pashabagi, also known as Monks Valley, where Christian hermits established hermit cells and churches in these three-headed pinnacles, symbolic of the Holy Trinity. Witness all stages of fairy chimney formation here.
- Uchisar - Conclude the day at Uchisar Castle, perched on a tall rock, the highest point in the Göreme region. After the tour, return to your hotel.

One of the highlights of Cappadoccia, just look past the bad exhibition. - Very interesting place worth a visit. The paintings are superb!
Only downside is the multiple photographs and plagues about a foreign film that was shot there that has no relevance to the history and meaning of the place. Ruins the mood and experience.

Humans working together to survive in this harsh area. ⛰️ - This open air museum, showed how man took nature and molded it to their survive this harsh terrain, sun-battered in summer, bone chilly in winter. Amazing site a must visit if in area. Lots of history.
