Everything was wonderful the food the train and the crew. Outstanding, I will be back!
Very pleasant staff and a great dinner. Nice way to spend two hours.
What a wonderful way to spend our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, and the service was great! We’ll definitely be back next year!!
The dinner train was part of our honeymoon plans. We enjoyed the excellent food, the service, and the unique experience. The dinner train experience will be a fond memory for both of us.
The train ride was fun. The food was excellent and the staff was wonderful.
The food was excellent. The best meal I've had in some time.
Everything was great, just wished you were not out of the Pumpkin Beer.
After discussing the trip with the friends that were with me,,,we felt that the drinks prices were too high and drinks weak. The desserts were inedible with too much spice and cinnamon and sloppy presented. We all felt that the staff rushing up and down the aisle constantly showed a need for more staff to handle each car efficiently. We would have liked a guide to the towns or area we passed thru and history since there was narration.
Overall we had a very fun time. The wait staff were all very friendly, and the food was good. However, there were a couple of things that kept it from being a great experience. First of all, there was an issue with the arrival of the main course. My date got her prime rib right away, but it took me 20-30 minutes to get my chicken. My date waited for me to get my food, which meant she had cold prime rib. Secondly, this was billed as a trip through the foliage while we ate, however we spent a third of the time just stopped on the tracks. We just sat there while it got dark outside, and once it was completely dark, we went back to the station. So two thirds of the trip there was no scenery to look at.
The experience was awesome. The scenery, the train, the people involved were all terrific. Our only disappointment was that my wife's salmon was not as hot as it should have been. We understand that it is hard to serve multiple meals simultaneously without something suffering. Also, the apple crisp was barely warm. The food itself was great, as was the service.Overall, we had a wonderful time. Thanks again.
It was an enjoyable evening overall. A few minor things: I think it would have been nice to have the salt and pepper shakers on the table. We asked for them and they came as our meal was almost finished. Another thing that would have been nice was butter and bread plates for the bread. The was only regular coffee available, there was no de-cafe. Again, overall it was a nice evening and the staff was very pleasant.
Fantastic experience. Great food and great service. A real must do!!!!
All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Train car was clean and refurbished very nicely. Food and drinks were great! Would highly recommend to friends.
Drink prices should have been noted and "cash only" should have been more prominently displayed on drink specials card at the table...also, my husband was almost done with his meal (salmon) before I even received mine (lasagna) so he pretty much ate alone. Waitresses were yelling down the car length, "Who gets chicken?" Who down there gets prime rib?" etc. Very disorganized even though everyone gave their order to the waitress..at the end, with dessert, We weren't asked if we wanted tea/coffee - wasn't sure if it was included. We were just asked if we wanted more alcoholic beverages.
The train went at a nice slow speed to enjoy the sights. Dinner was very good and our waitress was fabulous
Excellent staff and service. Extremely enjoyable and comfortable ride.
Your team did a great job on the Chester<>Ludlow Foliage Dinner train! Crew was immediately responsive when asked that AC be turned down. (All the folks around us were very cold, too.) Our waiter also volunteered to cook my super-rare prime rib...which was greatly appreciated. My only suggestion would be for a conductor to describe the route, noting interesting points. If that's not practical, a simple handout describing history of line & mapping points of interest would be great. We were wondering about what we were seeing out the window. Also, an announcement re tipping procedure would be helpful. We didn't spot the "Thank you" envelope until we were walking out... Keep up the good work. We hope to join you again next year and have told friends and relatives about our fine experience.
I have been wanting to go on a train ride for along time. It was on my mental bucket list. And to have a fabulous dinner besides was over the top. Great food and a great ride. Will do more of them next year especially to Lake Champlain.
My wife and I both enjoyed the trip. The scenery was great and the food delicious. The staff was very good and attentive.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. And the overall atmosphere was very comfortable.
Service was top notch. Dinner was on par with any 4 star establishments. Highly recommended!
Having never done this before, I did not know what to expect. I was pleased with the table settings and not pairing us with people we didn't know. The staff was incredible. They were polite, attentive and very professional. The meal was grand! The fun of the ride was a bonus for the evening. Would consider doing again and surely recommending it for others to enjoy. Thanks, Donna Harnish
Moms dinner (salmon) was awesome..... my prime rib ok.... salad was great but would have liked a veg with dinner
The staff was very friendly. Our table was among the last to be served (closest car to the kitchen). We watched all the meals be delivered past us-ours was barely warm when we received it. Although it was delicious-we just ate it quickly due to temps. - maybe more help when delivering meals. Also, an earlier departure would allow more scenic time before dark.

The decor in the train was lacking. You need to make it feel more like luxury travel, less like discount travel. Add some curtains and artwork. Change from the cheap plastic commuter rail lighting to something more elegant. Make it an experience not just a train ride.
The bathrooms were unsatisfactory to say the least.
Would have been great if bottles of wine were available as well as tea as listed on the menu. Was told they ran out as a result of the afternoon. Someone should be monitoring this and making purchases for the evening run.
Food and drinks were delicious. I wish I was offered coffee with my dessert but I was not. The other negative is that there was no running water in the bathroom sink.
food was excellent, service good, but bathroom was deplorable
I just love riding on the train and having a great dinner!! Staff were pleasant and everybody seemed in a good mood
Little overpriced and prime rib was undercooked, other than that everything else was very good.
Customer service was excellent. Very friendly empyees. It was a great experience.

1. With this type of excursion I expected some form of entertainment or historical anecdote from the train staff before or after the meal. I recommend you hire a local senior who can share some history of the region and VT rail, possibly including some funny stories ect... 2. The staff was exceptional and friendly. 3. I wish the excursion could travel a bit farther, let's say maybe stopping at the Okemo Road bridge so that we could view some of the village of Ludlow VT.
Not much in the way of scenery. No overlooks or lakes, mostly just a forest drive. Food was good but not great. Staff was very nice.
Our party of twelve enjoyed the evening immensely. A wonderful way to spend time together leisurely. The food was extraordinary, surpassing all of our expectations. The drinks before the meal were terrific--particularly the Old Fashions! The service was ever so thoughtful. We would recommend the experience to any and every one.
We got the date wrong, we arrived 24 hours early for our trip. However the staff managed to find the four of us a table on the Friday train. This saved us having to come back the following day. Saving us a round trip of 218 miles. Thank you such much for your help and understanding The Griffiths party from the UK
Courteous train personnel and outstanding food. Thank you
We were disappointed that the train ride was shorted and just sat on the tracks while dinner was served.
The train ride was pleasant, and the dinner was excellent. The service was superb. The route was pathetic in terms of scenery; nothing but forest and backyards all the way along the route. It's great that you are trying to maintain the railroad experience. You just need a more scenic route!
The dining car was comfortable and well air conditioned which was important on an unusually hot day for mid September. I was thirsty and delighted to see a glass of icy water at my place as we sat down at a table for two. We weren't expecting that and were delighted to have a table to ourselves. Our cocktails were delicious. The citrus salad dressing was so good that we'd like the recipe. Our entrees were hot and tasty with excellent sides. And the apple crumble with whipped cream was yummy. Adding to the pleasure of our meal was watching the pretty countryside pass by and a very hard working personable staff.
