we enjoyed the ride and the meal was well prepared. i would recommend you replace the windows as the seals were gone where we were sitting and it was very difficult to see the foliage...
The wait staff was so friendly and professional..The food was good . The engineer made a smooth ride and the scenery was great along with the chocolate cake.
Train ride was enjoyable, and food and service were excellent. Overall a fun time.
I thought it was wonderful. We are still talking about it. Thanks.
It was a very nice trip with good food and service...

the service and food was exellent
Food good but carriages not up to the standard I am used to.
It was mostly dark before reaching the summit. Champagne wasn't available for purchase, even though people in other "classes" did receive it. There are one serving bottle available for purchase at nearly all liquor stores. People would pay the mark up, especially as this is an "experience." The service was impeccable, although the staff should be trained to say "You're welcome" or "My Pleasure" rather than "no problem" this unto itself indicates to a customer that it is a problem, but the person is willing to help them anyway. The food was good, the ride was nice, the cars in good condition. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday experience.
It was a wonderful experience. The food was great and our server Sarah was awesome!
Food was fantastic! My only suggestion is to have it more narrated. Tell us stories about the railroad, the train, the cities we travel through. Perhaps have a Groupon to fill those tables. Seemed to be a lot of empty tables. Possibly have live soft music (i.e. acoustic guitar, violin, pianist).
Very nice ride and tasty meal.
We had a blast on the Siefring dinner train, we hope to do it again!!
An awesome and amazing experience all around! From the welcoming staff onto the train, to the most friendly and accommodating service staff and their personalized service aboard the train, it could not have been any more comfortable and delightful! The dining car was lovely, cozy, clean and very relaxing!! The 3-Course Dinner, from the salad to the entrees to the dessert, was beautifully prepared and presented and beyond delicious! We enjoyed every minute and every detail of this incredible Green Mountain Dining Train event!! Five Stars to the Train Engineer and his staff, to the Dinner Chef and his staff, and to all of the Dining Car Service Staff!!! Thank you for a wonderful and most special evening!!
The service was excellent and the food amazing!! The entire experience was wonderful!!!
The staff was very polite and helpful.
The train ride and dinner were so much fun. It far exceeded my expectations.
Everything was wonderful the food the train and the crew. Outstanding, I will be back!
Very pleasant staff and a great dinner. Nice way to spend two hours.
What a wonderful way to spend our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, and the service was great! We’ll definitely be back next year!!
The dinner train was part of our honeymoon plans. We enjoyed the excellent food, the service, and the unique experience. The dinner train experience will be a fond memory for both of us.
The train ride was fun. The food was excellent and the staff was wonderful.
The food was excellent. The best meal I've had in some time.
Everything was great, just wished you were not out of the Pumpkin Beer.
After discussing the trip with the friends that were with me,,,we felt that the drinks prices were too high and drinks weak. The desserts were inedible with too much spice and cinnamon and sloppy presented. We all felt that the staff rushing up and down the aisle constantly showed a need for more staff to handle each car efficiently. We would have liked a guide to the towns or area we passed thru and history since there was narration.
Overall we had a very fun time. The wait staff were all very friendly, and the food was good. However, there were a couple of things that kept it from being a great experience. First of all, there was an issue with the arrival of the main course. My date got her prime rib right away, but it took me 20-30 minutes to get my chicken. My date waited for me to get my food, which meant she had cold prime rib. Secondly, this was billed as a trip through the foliage while we ate, however we spent a third of the time just stopped on the tracks. We just sat there while it got dark outside, and once it was completely dark, we went back to the station. So two thirds of the trip there was no scenery to look at.
The experience was awesome. The scenery, the train, the people involved were all terrific. Our only disappointment was that my wife's salmon was not as hot as it should have been. We understand that it is hard to serve multiple meals simultaneously without something suffering. Also, the apple crisp was barely warm. The food itself was great, as was the service.Overall, we had a wonderful time. Thanks again.
It was an enjoyable evening overall. A few minor things: I think it would have been nice to have the salt and pepper shakers on the table. We asked for them and they came as our meal was almost finished. Another thing that would have been nice was butter and bread plates for the bread. The was only regular coffee available, there was no de-cafe. Again, overall it was a nice evening and the staff was very pleasant.
Fantastic experience. Great food and great service. A real must do!!!!
All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Train car was clean and refurbished very nicely. Food and drinks were great! Would highly recommend to friends.
Drink prices should have been noted and "cash only" should have been more prominently displayed on drink specials card at the table...also, my husband was almost done with his meal (salmon) before I even received mine (lasagna) so he pretty much ate alone. Waitresses were yelling down the car length, "Who gets chicken?" Who down there gets prime rib?" etc. Very disorganized even though everyone gave their order to the waitress..at the end, with dessert, We weren't asked if we wanted tea/coffee - wasn't sure if it was included. We were just asked if we wanted more alcoholic beverages.
The train went at a nice slow speed to enjoy the sights. Dinner was very good and our waitress was fabulous
Excellent staff and service. Extremely enjoyable and comfortable ride.
Your team did a great job on the Chester<>Ludlow Foliage Dinner train! Crew was immediately responsive when asked that AC be turned down. (All the folks around us were very cold, too.) Our waiter also volunteered to cook my super-rare prime rib...which was greatly appreciated. My only suggestion would be for a conductor to describe the route, noting interesting points. If that's not practical, a simple handout describing history of line & mapping points of interest would be great. We were wondering about what we were seeing out the window. Also, an announcement re tipping procedure would be helpful. We didn't spot the "Thank you" envelope until we were walking out... Keep up the good work. We hope to join you again next year and have told friends and relatives about our fine experience.
