a wonderful trip - This is an incredible trip — you’ll be well looked after, experience breathtaking sights, and even catch the distinctive scent of sulphur rising from the natural underground vents.

Bring swiming equipment - Ppl should know that there are swim stops, and all participating into this trip should have swiming equipment..that is what ppl should know in the first place. Good tour overalk

A fabulous experience and way to see the island. Great value for money - Fantastic value for money with door to door collection and drop off at our hotel. A short minibus ride took us to our boat with ‘Captain Dennis’ our guide for almost 3 hrs. We saw numerous turtles as suggested but not promised as Captain Dennis explained in detail their nature and shyness at time. He provided entertaining insights to all our destinations and sights along the way and demonstrated some outstanding boat handling skills. He created a fabulous atmosphere on board which only added to a superb trip I’d highly recommend.

Go you won’t regret it - Captain Denis was competent and put me at my ease. Handled the boat with experience and authority. And was informative, kind, funny and a thoroughly nice person. He’s a credit to the company and Greece.

Fantastic half day trip - The pick up from the hotel was great and the Dennis our captain for the the trip was fantastic. He was so helpful informative and entertaining. Thank you Best of Zante for an amazing day.

Unfortunately not so much turtles - We saw two turtles underwater in the middle of the ocean, as I understood it is a little too late in the year now.
The bathing places we stopped at were nothing special, a bit hard on Turtle Island where there was no shade at all and we stayed 50 minutes at.
The guide was great.

excursion to avoid - We were very disappointed. The weather conditions were bad, the seas rough, which made it impossible to appreciate the exit. The worst part is that we didn't see any turtles, although that was the main reason we chose this trip. It would have been more honest to cancel the tour, the commercial reason to take precedence. The fact that no guide speaks French is another negative point to highlight.

Do not believe what is being sold. - This is not a small boat, there was over 100 people on it. Also they do not drop you back at your hotel, if in kalamaki expect to be dropped up to 1km from your hotel. Trip was nice but Viator need to be honest in the description.

Terrible - don't book if you care about the turtles - Terrible experience. There are not enough turtles remaining in the island in order to organize these tours. There are only a few turtles that the boats are chasing in order to bring them up to the surface. On the trip there were at a minimum of 8 (!) boats surrounding 1 single turtle on the bottom of the water.
I dont believe this is healthy for the turtle and i feel bad for even participating in such activity. Then, they take you to Marathonisi (Turtle Island), where the turtles lay their eggs. When we arrived there was at least seveal hundreds of people on the island ( for a 45 swim stop) with loud music playing from a less then 100m distance to where the eggs are marked to have had been layed. I can't imagine this would be benefic for the turtle population.
The captin (Alexander) was extreemly unfriendly when we pointed out that this was essentially a tourist trap and continued to bring the matter up for the entire time of the tour. His behavior was childish and completely unprofessional, ruining the whole trip not just for us, but for everyone on the boat.
Avoid booking if you care about the turtles.
