- Άσπρη Παραλία - The White Beach is the most unique among all the beaches in Santorini. It is situated in the southeastern part of the island, in the Akrotiri area, 14 km south of Fira, and very close to the renowned and stunning Red Beach. The distinctive feature of White Beach, often referred to by locals as White Sand (Aspri Ammos), is its white color, which stands in contrast to the dark, reddish, or ocher hues found on other beaches.
The beach features fine black sand, crystal-clear blue water, and a canteen that operates from a cave house—a structure built into the rock, following the traditional Santorini architecture that maximizes the benefits of volcanic rocks. Visitors can purchase water, other beverages, snacks, umbrellas, and sun loungers from this canteen, as there is no natural shade available on the beach.
