Fun excursion - Good instructions about where to meet and easy to find. The main thing is how long it will take to go down from Fira downtown to the port - the cable car ride is just a few minutes but it may not be running at full capacity. For us, it was so the down journey was less than 10 minutes including a short wait. The boat itself was mostly but not completely full - it was easy to check in and find a spot to sit. They played music that was a little loud but not too bad. The volcano was fun - the island itself wasn't that interesting but it provided a great view of Santorini and the caldera. The hot springs were fun and the provided pool noodles were helpful in swimming around. Note that you must bring your own towels and there's nowhere to shower/change. Would recommend water shoes for the slippery hot springs bottom. The main challenge is also swimming back to the boat rather than swimming out to the hot springs, but you can stay on board if you prefer. Thirassia was OK - a small shore with a little beach and the option to walk to the top. The food options weren't too bad or overpriced considering the location but it was certainly too hot for us to walk to the peak. The guide showed us around the volcano and introduced us to the area a bit, which was nice. Overall, a fun experience (but pretty bare bones)!

Beautiful hike! - Beautiful hike! The climb on the volcano is very tiring, the climb is very steep and it is about an hour of brisk walking to and from the boat. For those who do not want to go to the volcano the alternative is to stay an hour and a half on the boat where you can drink and eat snacks. The next stop at the hot springs is really very interesting, too bad it lasts half an hour. Then you go to Therasia an island of just over 150 inhabitants and it is very cute, you can eat them in one of the many restaurants that you can find, we did not eat at captain John, very good fresh fish!! Finally to return to the port of Fira we did the whole coastline where we could admire the beautiful Oia from the sea. Quality price great!!

Be ready to sweat - It was a really nice activity. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star was the boat's exhaust pipe which was unfortunately located right next to us so we could constantly smell the diesel fumes instead of the breeze. Other than that the trip was really good, the crew were nice and helpful. However most of the activities were for sure catered to people who are used to physical exercise. Hiking up a volcano in full sun is no easy task, nor is a 30 meter swim right afterwards, so keep that in mind when booking this or any similar activities.

Visiting the volcano is a must in Santorini, the tour is perfect for the day - 35€ is a fair price for the day on a boat, on a not too crowded wooden sailing ship that accompanies a limited number of tourists to visit the volcano. Afterwards swim in the thermal waters (optional) and finally stop at the fishermen's island for lunch (there are several fish restaurants and typical inns). Our very prepared and helpful guide.
