This wonderful tour will be completed at the picturesque villages of Kalambaka or Kastraki, where you can have optional a traditional Greek lunch! Afterwards, we will return at Halkidiki. The duration of this tours is about 10-12 hours as Meteora is approximately 350 kilometers away from Halkidiki.(depending the village)

Since 1988, Meteora’s monasteries have been recognized as global heritage monuments by UNESCO. Constructed atop cliffs reaching heights of 400 meters, Meteora is viewed as one of nature’s finest works and an integral monument to Orthodoxy….

Presently, of all the historical monasteries, only 7 remain in operation, with 6 open to the public, namely:
• The Anapausa Monastery
• The Rusanu Monastery
• The “Great Meteoro” Monastery
• The Varlaam Monastery
• The Agia Triada Monastery
• The Agios Stefanos Monastery

- The monasteries have a strict dress code: men must wear trousers and long sleeves, women must wear a long skirt. If you do turn up in shorts, trousers and skirts will be provided.
