Aegina comes alive - It was an all around great day; Maria, our tour guide, met us at the pier and checked us in easily, gave us her phone number in case we had any issues, and we were on our way aboard a ferry to Aegina. Be sure to check out the bow of the boat as birds follow in our wake looking for churned up fish and kids were throwing bread to birds in mid flight which made for some great pictures. Upon debarking, Maria was there again and directed us to our bus. I just had a feeling of security knowing that she was taking care of us and we would not miss out on any of the experiences the island had to offer. We stopped numerous times on the way to our first stop, the monastery, for some photo opportunities along the coast with Maria pointing out and describing the historical significance of the stops. She was a wealth of knowledge. We had plenty of time to wander around to see the monastery and church. Our second stop, the temple of the nymph Aphaia, looked like a mini Parthenon. The stop also had a great view of the coast below. Upon our return to the port of Aegina, we were able to explore and have a leisurely meal before we had to board for our return ferry ride. The views of the harbor were enhanced by a beautiful sunset that capped off a great day. Maria also had a surprise ending gift for each of us, a sampling of pistachio inspired treats from her favorite shop. If you get a chance to visit the island of Aegina, do it with this tour and with Maria. While the island was wonderful, Maria really made it come alive. Thanks.

A Perfect Day on Aegina with Maria - Visiting Aegina Island was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our guide, Maria, was warm, engaging, and full of fascinating cultural and historical knowledge. She took us to a hidden monastery tucked away in the hills, then to an incredible seaside restaurant where we got to choose our own fish to grill — the chef even invited me into the kitchen! We sampled Aegina’s famous pistachios, explored the charming downtown area at our own pace, and enjoyed a relaxed, well-paced itinerary. The group of about 14 people was the perfect size — small enough to feel personal but large enough to be social. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience the authentic charm, history, and flavors of Aegina. Maria made the day unforgettable!

Easy, interesting tour - It was easy to book this tour online for my daughter and myself. The instructions for where and when to meet were clear. There were 10 people total on the tour. Maria was our tour guide and she was very fun and knowledgeable about the island and its history. It was the end of the season so was not crowded anywhere we went. I learned a lot about pistachios we stopped by some pistachio trees for a little lesson. There was time to explore when we stopped at various places. We stopped for lunch at a nice restaurant with a view of the sea, we could pick which restaurant we wanted to go to. My daughter bought some clothes at a good price since it was the end of the season abd shops were closing. The last stop was a wonderful shop that had pistachio everything, and we all got to have samples of sweets, ice cream and some pestos. Our driver Marcos was very good and also knowledgeable about the about the island. We had just the right amount of time at each stop to take photos and walk around. The van was a nice Mercedes Sprinter. I would highly recommend if you want to go to Aegina Island to take this tour!

Excellent Small Group Tour of Aegina - What a great visit to Aegina. Margarita took such good care of us from greeting us at Piraeus to the final good bye. This 10 hour outing included 1+ hour ferry rides to and from the island. We were driven around the island in a small luxury bus by an excellent driver. Margarita gave us so much history of the island, the temple, monastery and towns plus much information about pistachios, local water and energy systems… We had free time to explore the towns and 2 hours lunch or swim in Ayios Marina. I highly recommend this all-day, small-group tour.

The tour was informative and very well layer out. - The tour guide had an abundance of information, and her enthusiasm and love for her country are evident. Very good! She was patient and ensured that the group knew exactly where to meet and when to meet. The tour guide provided great guidance as of where, for example, to go for lunch or where to go for a swim.
