Additionally, the new visitor center offers a glimpse into the life of Stone Age people, with the opportunity to enter the Neolithic Houses and discover the tools and objects used during that era. Visitors will have just under 2 hours to leisurely explore Stonehenge and immerse themselves in its history, dating back to approximately 2400 BC.
- Bath - Following Stonehenge, proceed to the charming city of Bath, established on natural hot springs. The tour will disembark in the town center, passing by the Abbey to reach the Roman Baths for entry into this captivating site. Constructed around 70 AD, the Roman Baths served as a social hub for locals and housed the Temple of the Celtic Roman Goddess, Sulis Minerva.
In Bath, visitors can enjoy lunch (at their own expense) after touring the Roman Baths. The city boasts numerous teashops and quaint cafes, perfect for relaxing and people-watching. Consider visiting Bea’s Vintage Tea Rooms for a nostalgic experience of the 1930s and 40s, or savor one of Bath’s renowned delicacies, the Sally Lunn bun, at Sally Lunn’s historic eating house & museum.
After thoroughly exploring Bath and perhaps indulging in some shopping, visitors will reconvene at the coach for the return journey to London.
