Easy Stonehenge Solo Travel - Have wanted to visit Stonehenge for a while and this tour made it easy. I had question about the pick-up spot and they have an awesome 24-hour phone number for assistance. The ticket collector and bus driver were pleasant and professional and the bus was very clean. Made solo travel a pleasure.

Amazing Stonehenge - Nice scenery on the trip. Stonehenge was fabulous! People made it sound like the walk around the Stones would take an hour, but was less than 25 minutes unless you took lots of pics. The pathway was very comfortable to walk on. Nice gift shop, Cafeteria. Driver was excellent. Gave good advice.

Fantastic Tour – Highly Recommended! - Fantastic Tour – Highly Recommended! Everything about this tour was perfect. The bus was comfortable, easy to find, and arrived on time. The snack was fine, and the driver was very friendly. My 15-year-old daughter and I took this trip together, and we were both thrilled! Our driver, Kiran, was full of interesting information and had impressive knowledge. He spoke clearly and was easy to understand. He shared fun stories about London and England that we hadn’t heard before, and gave us fascinating insights into Stonehenge – the theories, the history, and its purpose – which I really appreciated. His driving was excellent, even with the traffic jams in London and the narrow streets of Wiltshire. Stonehenge is a must-see, and a half-day trip is a great way to experience it. Instead of organizing everything myself, I truly enjoyed relaxing and letting Golden Tours take care of it all. We returned to central London early in the afternoon, leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day in the city.

I loved it. Easy to see and do. - OMG go here. I loved it. But I have always admired Stonehenge. It was a smooth ride from London, and an easy bus ride although we visited at what I would describe as a low visitor time. We loved it though, and I would come back to learn more.

Amazing place little time to see everything - It is very short the time they give to visit the place and the museum. We didn't arrive in time to see the museum which is a shame. The driver and guide very good and collaborative in everything. Elvio a genius.

It was ok, but not great. - First, the golden tours stop eight has only the one sign, and no other direction how to get there. Most tour buses start at Victoria station, but golden tours is across the street and a block up. We almost missed the bus. It’s a long drive to Stonehenge. We wanted to sleep during the drive, but the bus driver insisted on calling out purported points of interest along the way. We weren’t interested. The seats on the bus are extremely narrow, more narrow than airline seats and very uncomfortable. The display screens on the back of our seats did not work. The bag lunch was an onion and cheese sandwich with bbq sauce and was horrible. Stonehenge was awesome, and very interesting. Sadly otherwise the tour was well below average.

Nearly stranded by the driver - We took the half day trip from London to Stonehenge. We were picked up on time, each passenger was checked in, received a smack pack, and the driver offered some nice narration along the route (2 hour drive). When we arrived at the site, we were given instructions and a time to return to the bus. We enjoyed to excursion on our own and returned in time. The driver noted in the manifest, each person as we re-entered the coach. About halfway into the drive we encountered traffic and the driver announced he’d take another route. Partway through a re-route, about 45 minutes outside of London, he announced he had an issue with the bus and will need us all to get off the bus and give him 30 minutes to ’toggle’ the system. In the meantime, he suggested we can explore the area find a toilet ,etc. he first suggested Kew Garden, but they insisted on an entry fee for us despite his request to let us enter. Then he suggested we go to the pub up the street. As we exited the bus my husband clarified, with the driver, the time to be back in the bus as ‘ 30 minutes from now is 3:15, so that’s the time to be back here?’ and the driver replied ‘yes, 3:15. ‘. We went to the pub to use the restrooms and had a quick drink. Imagine our surprise as we were walking toward the bus at 3:14 and it was driving away! At first we thought he might be adjusting his parking spot- and kept walking toward it. Then it started to drive around the corner of a green space. My husband had to sprint across a park to flag down the driver while I was attempted to call the ‘emergency’ number we were given (which was useless, as the person I spoke w was unable to connect with our driver). Finally, the driver stopped and let us back on. Why didn’t he check to make sure all the passengers were on board? No answer from him on this. He had the manifest with all of our names and used it 2x already that day- so why wouldn’t he use it again? Or maybe count the number of passengers? If my husband weren’t able to sprint- we would’ve been stranded. I would not recommend this tour.

Horrible experience for four peope. They will leave you stranded and fail to take responsibility - They allow anyone to board their bus. On the return to London from visiting Stonehenge, some random couple boarded our bus by mistake. Relying only on a headcount, the driver departed for London, leaving the other couple that was supposed to be on the bus stranded. Instead of turning around, they dropped the wayward passengers off at a random service station halfway to London. Now both couples would have to fend for themselves. What an unprofessional organization.
