Westminster Abbey tour - Our guide was wonderful. She knew her history and adapted her pace to the group we were in. The church was packed and she guided us through with ease.

We would highly recommend this tour! - This was an incredible experience for us! Our tour guide Derek was very knowledgeable and with the 9 am tour we were able to sneak in for a few minutes before the Abbey was open to the public. It was one of the highlights of our London stay. Premium tours did a great job!

Do the early tour as it... - Do the early tour as it gets very crowded. It is well worth booking a guide as you are able to hear the great stories.

Westminster Abbey Escorted Tour - This tour offers an 'upscale' experience for not much additional cost for anyone who is interested in learning about more of the history and architecture of the Abbey than one would get on a basic self-guided audio tour. John Rassmussen was our guide and patiently navigated our group of 16 around through the highly trafficked areas within, mixing in some personal anecdotes to keep it all interesting. He was 'first class'! And to top off the experience, we were served coffee and a pastry prior to the start the tour!

Great tour, give the pastries and tea a miss - Good tour covering the main parts. Wouldn’t book again with the morning tea, just the tour. Was just the basic first floor, nothing extra.

Lots of information. I... - Lots of information. I would suggest ear microphones - it was sometimes difficult to hear the guide.

Early Access To Abbey Coffee Shop and No Headsets - Wr met outside the Abbey Shop as stated, met our blue badge guide a dbour group of 11 were taken into the café at 9 a.m. for a cup of coffee/tea and croissant. At 9:30 we were taken thru a side entrance into the Abbey. Technically you have early access to the café as the Abbey opens for all at 9:30. Our guide was very informative and spoke very softly. He kept asking us to squeeze in closer and was concerned about the general public listening in. Either the tour company or the independent blue badge tour guides need to provide headsets. A third of our group said they couldn't hear most of what he said. If you truly want early access go directly thru Westminster Abbey website and try to book their 8:30-9:30 tour. With headsets I would give this tour a 4 1/2 star. If it was truly early access to the Abbey and had headsets then 5 stars!

Good tour - It was a good tour, but quick. If you want to see all of the highlights, a longer or self guided tour might be best.

WE COULD NOT HEAR THE GUIDE! WASTE OF MONEY. - Our guide was sweet and friendly, and VERY knowledgeable, but we could only hear about 50% of what she said! Her voice did not carry, and unless we were within a few feet of her and she was facing directly toward us, we couldn't hear her well enough to follow what she was saying. It was EXTREMELY frustrating. She started out her talk by stating that if we had difficulty hearing her, we should strive to stay closer to her. This led me to believe she'd had previous complaints about not being able to hear her. Plus, the fact that there were 20 people in our group meant that there was no way everyone could be within hearing distance. For what we paid (a little over $100 US each) this was a complete rip off. When I spoke to our guide to let her know we couldn't hear her, she stated it was the tour company's fault for not providing headphones and a speaker system for everyone. At $100+/person, with 20 people, this tour company made $2,000 on this tour. To not provide headphones was criminal. I would NOT recommend this tour company because of this. This was likely my only opportunity to visit Westmister Abbey, and I was very disappointed. In addition, the "Priority Access" led me to believe we would enter the Abbey ahead of the general crowd. This really was not the case. Technically, we did enter early, but we went straight to a small cafe for coffee and croissants. We entered the Abbey proper at the same time as the general public, so the "priority access" was meaningless. In addition, even in this cafe we STILL couldn't hear the guide unless she was facing us directly, and our group was the only group in the Cafe. This tour company and this guide need to do better.
