Great trip, beautiful sites - Had a great time on this trip. Pooja was a fantastic tour guide. She was constantly telling stories, giving us brief lessons on British history, and telling us a huge amount of info on the sites we saw. She was very friendly and helpful.
The only disappointment was that the war tunnels at Dover Castle were closed for refurbishment.

Worth every penny! - Brought my family for a taste of some of UK's most awe-inspiring sights and this tour was worth every penny - Pooja our our guide was extremely informative, professional and warm. We had enough time to appreciate each location (any more we would've been too exhausted), felt very well taken cared of and learned a lot of historical facts!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Great day trip from London! - I really enjoyed this day trip from London. Sam was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, providing commentary both during the bus rides as well as at the venues. Once we got to the destinations and had time to explore on our own, he made thoughtful suggestions of the highlights to see (go to the tunnels first, because there are usually lines) as well as how to see it quickly (there was steady rain and 25mph wind gusts at the Dover Cliffs). In Canterbury, he suggested a meal at the Old Buttermarket pub near Canterbury Cathedral with delicious meat pies and friendly locals. I would definitely recommend to others!

Lunch is not included and... - Lunch is not included and if you wait until Canterbury, it is almost 3:00 before you can grab lunch.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - I booked this tour through TripAdvisor, and the booking process was very easy. It also included free cancellation until a few days before the tour. Overall, I really enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend it, especially if you prefer having transportation taken care of while still being able to explore each destination independently instead of following a guide around all day.
⚠️ 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓: 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐮𝐩 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭
The tour departs at 8:30 AM from London Bridge Station Stop R, and they recommend arriving about 10 minutes early.
However, the bus did not actually arrive until exactly at 8:30 AM, so don’t panic if you aren’t standing there exactly 10 to 15 minutes early.
I took an Uber and entered London Bridge Station Stop R as the destination. Uber still dropped us off at the large main London Bridge Station entrance ABOVE the actual pickup point. We ended up rushing around and asking people for directions because we thought we were going to miss the tour.

If you are dropped off at the main station above, you need to:
* Go downstairs to street level
* Cross the street
* Turn left
* Walk a short distance until you reach Stop R
Google Maps/Uber can make this unnecessarily confusing, so give yourself a little extra time specifically to find the stop.

The coach itself was excellent. It was a large, comfortable tour bus with reclining seats, huge windows, curtains, Wi-Fi, and even a toilet onboard. The temperature was comfortable throughout the trip.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. He explained the history of the places we were visiting and shared interesting facts and jokes along the way, but it never felt like a history lecture. It was just enough information to give context to what we were seeing while still letting us enjoy the ride.

London → Dover Castle: about 1 hour 30 minutes
Time at Dover Castle: about 3 hours
Meet back at the bus: 1:00 PM sharp
Dover Castle was really enjoyable, and there is quite a lot to see. There are also cafés inside the grounds. The two we saw appeared to serve essentially the same menu.
Food recommendation: Get the chocolate cake! It reminded me of the giant chocolate cake from Matilda. It was incredibly soft, moist, rich, and much better than I expected from a small attraction café. I also tried the Sri Lankan puff pastry, which was surprisingly good.

One thing to consider carefully is the underground hospital tour.
We waited approximately 30 minutes in line, and the tour itself took another 30 minutes, so it used about one full hour of our three hours at Dover Castle.
I don’t regret doing it because it was interesting and something different to experience, but that hour disappears very quickly. We barely made it back to the bus by 1:00 PM because of it.
If exploring the castle itself is your priority, keep this in mind before getting in line. Also, anyone who is claustrophobic may not enjoy the underground portion.
🌊 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝟐: 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫
Dover Castle → White Cliffs: about 15 minutes
Time at the White Cliffs: about 1 hour
Back on the bus: around 2:15 PM
This was my favorite part of the entire trip.
We happened to visit on a gorgeous day, and the views were absolutely beautiful. An hour was enough time to walk around, take photos, enjoy the scenery, and simply appreciate being there without feeling like we had to rush through it.
There is also a café/restaurant and a shop at the site.
⛪ 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝟑: 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐲
White Cliffs → Canterbury: about 30 minutes
Arrival: around 2:45 PM
Meet back at the bus: 5:15 PM
The major attraction here is Canterbury Cathedral, but admission is separate from the tour price. I wasn’t particularly interested in seeing another cathedral, so we skipped it.
That worked out perfectly because we had roughly 2½ hours of completely free time to wander around Canterbury, explore the streets, sightsee, shop, and have a relaxed late lunch.
🍽️ 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞
We ate at The Old Weavers House, and I highly recommend asking for a table in the garden at the back overlooking the small canel.
The restaurant sits directly beside the water, and you can watch the traditional punts passing by with passengers while someone stands at the back propelling the boat along the canel. We could even hear the punting guides mentioning the restaurant and it being the best restaurant for views as they passed.
My partner ordered the turkey and cranberry pie and really enjoyed it. I wasn’t very hungry, so I ordered an appetizer with king prawns and garlic-butter bread, which was also good. It only came with four prawns for around £10, but overall I thought the restaurant’s prices were reasonable considering the location. The pie was around £20.
🚌 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧
We left Canterbury at 5:15 PM and arrived back around London Bridge Station at roughly 7:15 PM, essentially where the tour began.
𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥
I would highly recommend this tour.
What I especially liked was the balance between organization and independence. Transportation between all three destinations was completely taken care of, the coach was comfortable, and the guide provided useful information during the drives. But once we arrived somewhere, we were generally free to explore on our own.
You aren’t spending the entire day chasing a tour guide from one attraction to another.
Approximate day at a glance:
• 8:30 AM: Depart London Bridge
• 10:00 AM: Arrive at Dover Castle
• 1:00 PM: Leave Dover Castle
• 1:10 PM: Arrive at White Cliffs of Dover
• 2:15 PM: Leave White Cliffs
• 2:45 PM: Arrive in Canterbury
• 5:15 PM: Leave Canterbury
• 7:15 PM: Arrive back at London Bridge

Unresponsive - We missed the bus due to taxi error. I called the Anderson phone number - no one answered so I left a message that we would taxi to the last pickup spot. Got to that spot in time but no bus. Never heard back from Anderson.
