After admiring old and new lava flows we will proceed on foot to the inner part of old craters. The charming panorama and the picturesque scenery will give us the feeling of being on the moon.
After a short break, the hike will continue with a visit, carrying helmet and torch, inside a lava cave to admire a unique spectacle.
Walking through a luxuriant vegetation, we will finally admire the spectacular Valle del Bove.

Sicily holidays - It was a fantastic experience from beginning till the end. Incredible scenery with a guide who explained everything we needed to know about Etna's history in a fun and engaging way.

I was picked up directly... - I was picked up directly in front of my appartment, the guide was super friendly and explained a lot. The size of the group was perfect and I felt very comfortable travelling solo.

Good day up on Mount Etna. - Guide was very knowledgeable. Made the tour interesting with the history, etc. Content of the tour (look-off stop, the lava cave experience and trek up Etna) was special.
One suggestion: Make time (30-45 min.) to check out the shops up at Etna instead of 15 min.

Recommended - Excellent tour! Etna is fascinating, Danielle was a very friendly tour guide.
I wish we had some extra time at the mountain but it was sufficient like this.

Wonderful hiking trip with a great guide! - We had an excellent trip today. It is well worth the time and our guide was such great fun with lots of stories about the region and its history. Remember to wear some sturdy shoes and enjoy the exercise. Highly recommend!!

Kellys travels - Night before we were given pick up time at our designated place. Van arrived on time and were greeted by Daniel he was very welcoming. It was a small van of eight people we met another similar van and travelled together. Daniel was very informative on towns and history along the way. Our first stop was a lookout point at Ox Valley an old lava flow where he explained about the volcano. Next stop was a lava tube where we were given a hard hat and torch, down a hole we went and along a pretty rough walk, had to be careful but Daniel made sure everybody was ok. Even assisted me to the end. Next up to the mountain a short break then off walking. A bit steep in places, Daniel explained the area and the rocks in a way that was not a lecture but informative. Last bit of walk was too steep for us so we made our way down and met up with others later. A short break then in van and back to Catania drop off after 2.30pm. We had a great day and Daniel was a great guide. Thanks

Not worth the money. Better to go on your own. - There are two separate vans for the trip - one with a guide and one with a driver (that doesn't act as a guide). The second van (which we were in) was given 3 walkie talkies in order to hear the guide. Two were simply saying 'please change battery' so the van was left with one for all 8 people to listen to. At best we were able to catch every 3rd word due to static and sharing one walkie talkie.

Don’t use Viator - Viator - please fix your listing offer. It allowed me to input a pick up location that was not offered by the vendor which made me unable to go. AND then they wouldn’t even refund me. The vendor even said Viator is a problem. If you want to go to Mt. Etna go directly to the vendor (go-Etna, Sicily Active, Etna people)!
