- Grantown-on-Spey - Gather on Saturday after breakfast for a stroll along the high street with Jim to meet local shop owners and gather provisions for the weekend.
Return to base to organize, share, and pack all equipment, personal items, and supplies for the two-day ride, followed by a comprehensive briefing on the upcoming two days. Then, embark on a bike-packing adventure.
The first stop is nearby, where coffee and a scone await, along with a delicious sandwich. Afterward, continue riding on a variety of easy tracks and trails alongside rivers, farmland, woodland, and open moors. Journey through and around the stunning scenery to the campsite, equipped with fire pits, toilets, showers, and a kitchen/dining area, all with a leave-no-trace ethos.
There, everyone will participate in preparing and setting up dinner, then enjoy time around the fire. Jim, an ambassador for SixMoonDesigns shelters, provides a complimentary tent for the night. On Sunday morning, savor freshly brewed coffee with breakfast before packing up and riding back to Grantown-on-Spey via an alternative route, chosen based on Saturday’s experiences and enjoyment.
