Turned out we were the only people on our tour. Our guide was friendly, put you at ease, encouraged questions, and was extremely knowledgeable. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Heather, our guide, did an excellent job of weaving the history of the mansion in with stories about the eclectic and interesting antique pieces throughout the home. The top floor views were impressive and it’s clear that the owners (present & past) care(d) about maintaining the architecture, while bringing the home into the present in terms of modern amenities. Beautiful gardens too! The Grand Tour, with behind-the-velvet-ropes access, was well worth the investments (time, $$).

One of the best house tours ever! Ashley so informative. Feel like I could do tour again and see all new things. Would recommend it to anyone who loves history and antiques.

It was a very thorough, unrushed presentation by a very knowledgable guide named Heather. She stopped at the end of each explanation to check for questions and we were able to linger and see items up close, behind the barrier ropes. That does not often happen.

It was intimate, personal, relaxed and our guide was amazingly knowledgable. So nice not being in a crowd. Highly recommend if you want to see the Mansion.

The tour guide and the owner were super nice. I have always wanted to see the entire mansion and when I learned about the grand tour I was very excited. It did not disappoint! the view from the top of the mansion was amazing and well worth it. Highly recommend.
