Great adventure. Cheese was a great guide. He taught us a lot about the local wildlife and let us touch a jellyfish and a conch, plus we saw a shark and lots of turtles. We’ve done a lot of kayaking, but never in a clear kayak, which was very cool. Even when they towed in our kayaks via jet ski out to the mangrove area was fun (it gave us a chance to enjoy the incredibly blue waters surrounding us.) All of the staff was very friendly.

The tour was both educational and fun. Our guide. ‘Cheese’ was personable, professional, knowledgeable, and funny. He was also aware and observant of the needs of those on the tour. We are in our late 70’s and my partner had trouble with his seat and our guide switched kayaks with us. I recommend this tour very highly. Ruth O’Hara

Couldn’t hear the guide at all - should learn to project more.

Saw a couple of turtles, which are fairly common around the island, as well as some iguanas. That's about it. Maybe it was the wrong time of day (11 AM), but there was nothing particularly impressive about this tour. So many kayaks in the mangrove that I would have been surprised to see much more. Your guide Cheese was passionate about his craft and knew his stuff, but was hard to hear with the wind.

1. Must be spoiled from previous similar excursions in the past. Used to nearly continuous narration of the biology and importance of mangroves, what we may see, what we are looking for, random information regarding the island, etc., etc. We had short discussion of Conchs and later a three minute canned speech on turtles, otherwise no significant interaction with our guide. 2. On the way across the channel, we experienced wake from a passing boat. The person towing us snaked us back and forth back to the side we came fromwith no real explanation of what he was up to. Ended up emptying water out of one of the boats. Our boat and others had evidently less than a critical amount of water, and so nothing was proposed. We proceeded across the channel, looked for turtles for a while, then had a talk about chinch’s. Would’ve been an opportune time to empty our boat of water at the time, but didn’t occurred to us that that was a possibility. After a brief tour of mangroves, went back to same area and told to get out of boats for five minutes while they connected them together. A few of us emptied the water out of our boats at that time. No help was offered from the staff. Could have dried off quite a bit if we would have done it sooner. 3. Didn’t spend much time in the mangroves. 4. Some signage identifying our group gathering spot would have been nice as more than one tour group was leaving from the same location which took a bit to figure out.
