Port Elizabeth - Depart from Port Elizabeth and visit the breathtaking Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth, weather permitting. Arrive at the hotel in Knysna, nestled on the banks of a stunning lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route.

[Monday] Knysna

Knysna - After a relaxing breakfast, enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Take a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head for panoramic views of the town and lagoon, returning for lunch under the milkwood trees. The afternoon is free to explore this charming town set around a natural harbor lagoon.

[Tuesday] Knysna - Oudtshoorn

Oudtshoorn - Travel through the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, known as the ‘Ostrich Capital’ and the center of the world’s ostrich farming industry. Visit an ostrich farm for a guided tour and light lunch, followed by a tour of the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculpted by nature over the ages. Arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon, in time to check in and relax before dinner (at own expense). Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

[Wednesday] Oudtshoorn - Franschhoek

Franschhoek - There is an option (at own expense and subject to availability) to enjoy an early morning meerkat safari. After this experience, return for a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, continue the journey through the Little Karoo to Barrydale, to visit a local farm school and interact with the children and teacher (subject to the school being open). Continue to Franschhoek, a picturesque village surrounded by spectacular vineyards for wine tasting at your own expense.

[Thursday] Franschhoek - Cape Town

Cape Town - After a leisurely breakfast, the storytelling guide will take you on a tour through Franschhoek village, sharing the fascinating history of the French Huguenots and the Huguenot Museum. Enjoy a wine tasting before continuing to Cape Town, the oldest city in South Africa, spectacularly set at the foot of Table Mountain, where the tour concludes.
