Everything went so smoothly. The bike ride through the Amish farms was breathtaking. Rebecca was an awesome guide - I really enjoyed getting to know her. And the dinner with the Amish family was very special. The food was delicious - freshly baked bread, pickled vegetables, chow chow, grilled marinated chicken, pork meatballs, mashed potatoes, vegetables, home baked pecan and pumpkin pies and home made ice cream. The whole family was present and engaging. If you are in the area - take this tour.
Outstanding tour and dinner - great experience and great value!!
Our tour guide, Mark, was informative and entertaining. The Amish family fixed a wonderful dinner and the company was wonderful..... great evening!!
The ride was beautiful and breath taking and even though I had to walk up some hills everyone was patient and helpful and the guide made the experience very enjoyable. The dinner was one of the best meals I ever had so fresh and flavorful. The family welcomed us and made us feel at home chatting with us and entertaining us. The whole tour made my 62nd birthday fantastic.
It was a nice experience. Of course the weather was outstanding. We are local and got to see an area around Churchtown that we've spent very little time in. Also the car traffic was almost nonexistent. Mark did an awesome job leading tour and the family we had dinner with nice and friendly. Food was really delicious! We look forward to a tour around Lititz after new shop opens. Thank you and take care. Jay and Nancy
Our tour guide was very wonderful and taught us about the Amish and Mennonite. We stopped along the way to take pictures of the beautiful farmland. Rebecca answered all of our questions and she was helped us have a fun experience. The Amish dinner was delicious. The family is so nice. They were very talkative and answered questions we had about the Amish. The children were sweet. They showed our grandchildren their pigs. It was great to see all of the kids playing together. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We had a great guide, Mark. The weather was questionable that day, so there were several cancellations by other riders. As it turned out, we had a private tour. Although the rain a slight deterant, we chose to pursue through the day. It was a lot of fun. Also, the dinner with an Amish family and many other guests was a real treat.
We loved the scenery and the pace of the tour, it was a great way to see the PA countryside. We especially loved the Amish dinner at David & Naomi's home, it was one of the best meals we've had - bar none - and the family could not have been nicer and welcoming. We liked Mark. We would have enjoyed a bit more 'storytelling' about the area we were riding in shared with the entire group during the pit stops. (Some folks needed to push their bikes up some of the steeper hills, and missed hearing some of the narrative Mark was providing to those who were already at the top of the hill.( That said, we have and will definitely recommend the tour to friends, and we plan to take another tour there in the future. Truly a memorable time!
Great idea. .Good exercise. Outstanding food, and friendly people. It can't get much better than that.
Overall experience, Mark our guide was knowledgeable of the area and culture. Niomi, David and their family were very welcoming and hospitable. The dinner was delicious.
Bekah was very personal and informative. She was very accomodating and sensitive to our comfort and needs. The route we rode was easy and beautiful/ Even though I live in the area I enjoyed the ride. The meal at the Stoltzfus home was fabulous. Not only was the food delicious but the family was very hospitable and easy to talk to.. I would recommand the trip to friends.
